After searching through what felt like hundreds of hotels in San Diego, Humphreys Half Moon Inn stood out for its beautiful tropical atmosphere and amazing amenities—and it exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we loved the relaxed island vibe. Evenings were especially fun with movies on the lawn, and there were plenty of great food options both on-site and within easy walking distance. Our favorite spot was definitely the pool bar, where we spent many afternoons unwinding and enjoying the vacation atmosphere. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted to make sure we had a great stay. The location was another huge plus—it was close enough to all the major attractions that we could explore San Diego without spending half the day in the car. If you're looking for a laid-back resort with a tropical feel, excellent service, and a fantastic location, Humphreys Half Moon Inn is hard to beat. We absolutely loved our stay and will be choosing Humphreys every time we visit San Diego!

Resort-like experience. Everything you'd want: great staff, beautiful and clean amenities, wonderful landscaping, great rooms, excellent shared spaces. There is a pool with a bar and fire pit seating spaces in the middle of the property, landscaped like a tropical island. Just wonderful. They even have a pair of macaws that are outside most days. Located in Point Loma, you are pretty central to the city's best parts. It was quiet at night with peaceful surroundings and a city view from across the bay. For me, it's the best place to stay in SD.

Humphrey's will always be a special spot for us now after having our wedding there April 4th! We planned everything very last minute, but we still felt like we had everything run smoothly. Darla was great to work with during the planning process and the staff during our event was very attentive. A few days before the wedding I was panicking that I didn't order any decorations for the ceremony and we truly did not need any. It looked beautiful that day and our pictures came out amazing. I was also really happy with the reception room. We wanted a small wedding with only 35 guests and it was the perfect size. The food was amazing and everything I asked for was done exactly as requested. We truly had a perfect day and we're so happy we decided to get married at Humphrey's! The suite we stayed in for 2 nights was also a great location for us to do hair and makeup. It had plenty of room to set up and also a kitchen to feed everyone getting ready with us.

My family’s new favorite resort! Our room was spacious and clean, housekeeping did a wonderful job each day making it feel brand new when we got back to our room. Bed was very comfortable, and pull out was pretty comfy for being a pull out. Water pressure in the shower was FANTASTIC. The property is so calm and beautiful. My kids loved the fish and birds they got to see. The pool was heated so nicely, and the pool side bar had great drinks and food. Breakfast at their restaurant was phenomenal!! Staff were lovely and our stay was so good we did not want to leave. Will absolutely be back for future stays.
