The Perfect Wedding Venue — And Lisa Is the Absolute MVP! We truly could not have picked a more perfect place to have our wedding. The Catamaran is absolutely beautiful, but what made the experience so special was the incredible people there. From beginning to end, everyone was kind, accommodating, thoughtful, and made us and our families feel like royalty. And Lisa was the literal MVP of our entire wedding weekend. She went above and beyond for us in every possible way and somehow made every interaction and every experience even better than the one before it. She was warm, thoughtful, incredibly helpful, and always made us feel like our wedding genuinely mattered to her. Having someone like Lisa there throughout such an important weekend meant more to us than we can say. The venue itself was everything we could have hoped for. It was absolutely beautiful, our guests loved it, and being able to have such an incredible weekend with our closest friends and family all in one place made it even more special. Rooms were old and basic, particularly considering the price. Parking costs extra, and there are no proper beach loungers, just rather uncomfortable deck chairs. The staff were never rude, but almost everything seemed to require more effort than it should. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. On one day our room was left without clean towels or coffee. We travelled nearly 5,000 miles from the UK for our holiday, so this was meant to be a special part of the trip. Unfortunately, the experience was so disappointing that it genuinely took the shine off our holiday. The location is fantastic, but unfortunately that was the only part of the stay that felt worthy of the price. The resort did very little to make the experience feel special or memorable. I think the management needs to take a serious look at what this hotel is supposed to represent and whether the experience currently matches the rates being charged. At present, it feels more like a basic self-catering apartment complex than a resort hotel. Sorry to be so blunt, but when you have travelled 5,000 miles and paid these prices, it is reasonable to expect considerably more.

Fantastic location, great staff, great amenities, and spacious rooms. I really enjoyed our family stay here. It's in a solid location where you can reach any part of San Diego within 20 mins by car, but also you can walk to the main beach in a couple of minutes, and have lots of great breakfast and dinner spots that are just a few steps away. It is also nice and quiet at night. The pool is great, and there are often things going on in the hotel. The restaurant is right on the bay and has some good sushi. The rooms are a little old, that's probably the only complaint, but they are a good size and the staff do a great job keeping them nice and clean. Also the grounds are excellent which creates a great vibe. I would totally stay here again.

Good for one night only. Beautiful lobby and entrance, but the rooms are quite dated with old carpet and there’s an air conditioning unit right next to the bed. No ventilation in the bathroom, which had also hair from the previous guests. Did not look like the pictures. $45 per night for self parking. 2 stars for location and free water bottles
