Every verified claim gives $1 to charity
Claiming your listing on Local Tennis Clubs is free. Each time we verify a claim, we set aside US$1 for a registered charity in the United States that helps children with schooling, health care and basic needs. Your paperwork becomes somebody else’s schoolbooks.
How it works
- Find your business. Search Local Tennis Clubs for your listing, or add it if it is not here yet.
- Claim it. Press “Claim this listing” and tell us who you are. It takes two minutes and costs nothing.
- We verify. We check that you really represent the business, following our claim verification policy.
- $1 goes to charity. The moment your claim is approved you get the ✓ Verified badge, editing rights, a direct website link, and we add US$1 to that month’s donation.

Why we do this
A directory is only as good as the people who keep it honest. Owners who claim their listings fix wrong hours, dead phone numbers and old addresses, and that makes Local Tennis Clubs more useful for everyone who lives in or visits the United States. We wanted a way to say thank you that is bigger than a badge, so every verification also does a small good outside the site.
No ranking is bought with it. Verified listings are not moved above unverified ones, and the donation does not change how a business appears. It is simply our cost of saying thanks.
Where the money goes
We give to registered 501(c)(3) non-profits helping children in the United States, chosen on three criteria: the money is spent in the United States, on children, and the organisation publishes audited accounts. Each month’s recipient is named in the table below when the transfer is made.
Donations are pooled and paid once a month. Each payment is listed below with the receiving organisation and the amount, so you can see where your claim went.

Frequently asked questions
What counts as a successful claim?
A claim we have reviewed and approved under the claim verification policy. Rejected, duplicate and withdrawn claims do not count, and one business counts once, even if it is claimed again after a change of owner.
Does claiming cost anything?
No. Claiming, the verified badge and editing rights are free, and always will be. Featured placement is a separate paid product and has nothing to do with claims.
Can I choose the charity?
Not per claim: pooling lets us make one meaningful transfer a month instead of hundreds of tiny ones. If you know a charity that meets our criteria, email us and we will look at it for a future month.
Who pays the $1?
Local Tennis Clubs does, from its advertising and featured-listing revenue. Nothing is added to any price, and nothing is deducted from anyone.
Is the amount the same for every listing?
Yes: one dollar for every approved claim, whether it is a public park court in Brooklyn or a private racquet club in Chicago.
