The course has since recovered from the temporary greens period but there’s another problem Fossil Creek currently suffers from.; horrible slow play. I don’t know what it is but this golf course attracts the dumbest, slowest, most awful golfers in Fort Worth. Like the dead in the 6th sense, they’re oblivious to their situation leaving the rest of us in Osment’s role to deal with the horrific truth. Dealing with these people, their lack of courtesy, not letting anyone play through, getting violent when you address the matter, makes being dead like Bruce seem not so bad. The course is need of marshal that can herd these golfers and keep them on pace, because a 6 hour round is unacceptable.

Course was clean & well maintained. A few great Par 3s and challenging courses made it fun to play. Great club house and Pro shop. Multiple cart girls made our experience fun. We will be back for sure!

It’s unfortunate that Arcis has run yet another fun and unique track into the ground.Overload the tee sheet, hike up prices, neglect maintenance, rinse and repeat. Criminal what they’re charging. They need to take a page out of Cedar Crest’s playbook and shut it down to renovate. Greens are too far gone to be helped by normal care. Avoid at all costs.

Played Golf Club at Fossil Creek Sunday April 5th 2026 with my soon to be son-in-law. Was visiting the area from San Antonio. Had heard great things about the course and was looking forward to playing. Cost was reasonable at $100 per person for the round. At least that was what I thought until we stepped on the practice putting green. It was basically dirt with very little grass on it. One of the worse practice putting greens I had ever seen. On the 1st tee the starter greeted us and I mentioned hopefully the greens on the course are better than the practice green. He mentioned that most of the greens on the course were worse than the putting green. Did not think that was possible, but that was definitely a true statement. As an avid golfer, decent putting greens make a course for me. To be honest the rest of the course was excellent. Layout was top notch, but dirt greens left a very sour taste. At least tell people that book times that they will be putting on dirt greens. Don’t charge full rack rates for a course that has dead greens. Would like to see the greens recovery or be replaced because the layout is awesome, but don’t plan on returning until then.

Played: Saturday July 5th This course is an absolute gem! The Golf Club at Fossil Creek was in fantastic condition from tee to green. Every hole felt well-maintained and thoughtfully laid out, with lush fairways and and small greens. The layout offers a great mix of challenges and scoring opportunities — each hole has its own character, and the overall design keeps you engaged the entire round. Scenic views and beautifully crafted holes make this course not just fun to play but also great to take in visually. You can tell a lot of care goes into keeping the course in top shape. The staff really helped elevate the experience — incredibly friendly, welcoming, and on top of everything. The beverage cart service was frequent and well-stocked, which is always a plus on a warm day. Overall, Fossil Creek is a must-play in the area. Whether you’re a local or visiting, this course delivers on all fronts: conditions, layout, service, and atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back soon!
