The Golf Club at Champions Circle

Let me start out by saying I love this golf course, I live 5 minutes away and have played it a ton. However, when you book a 9am tee time, even on a Sunday, you don't expect the round to take 5 hours! We were already behind pace before we got off the 1st green and the marshal happened to be driving by. We told him about the group in front of us taking so long to do everything, he said he'll say something the next time around. 15 minutes later, we're still in the fairway on #2 waiting on the group in front of us. Marshal comes by, we ask him what's the hold up, now he says it's the group in front of them. We play this game 2 more times, marshal does absolutely nothing. By the time we get to #14, we can see the 2 groups in front of us, and #16, #17, and #18 are WIDE OPEN. Shift change, new marshal, no change in pace. When I confronted the pro shop about it, they say "well it's the weekend, you can't expect a fast round". I know that, but there shouldn't be 3 wide open holes in front of anybody, especially on a fully booked weekend. They refused to do anything about it. Same thing happened at Bear Creek 6 weeks ago. i've been going to this course for a couple of years now and overall i enjoy the course and experience. there is someone who works in the pro shop who is not very friendly and i feel like i am a bother but the rest of the staff is great! the course is a pretty average public course, the greens are in decent enough shape and the rest of the course is not lush by any means but presents well enough. the range is the highlight of this club, there are 2 sides and there is plenty of space and it very rarely fills up. my gut reaction is that the rack rate is pretty expensive but compared to the other courses in the area it is a bit more reasonable.

Had a great time playing, and the course was in good condition. Staff was VERY nice and attentive and I definitely see the value here, had a lot of fun. ⛳️⛳️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♂️😁😁

Awesome track. 2nd time around and really got a better feel for the course. Greens are in good shape and fairways, tee boxes were in nice shape as well. Not your typical track you really have to pick your club wisely off some of these short par 4s for your approach shots into these greens. Had a great time me and my Pops. Played on a Monday and pace of play was good.

Update: I've played all 18 since, and I'll stick with 4 stars. Good layout but greens in late June were slowish. Houses are set back far enough to not be annoying. Four stars for a public course is a fine status, mind you! FYI, I'm not giving 5 stars just because I didn't play the course; should I in the future I'll revisit this review. Every employee I interacted with was friendly. Guys in the pro shop were great (thanks, Billy!). I used the practice facilities & they were very good. Good turf to hit from on driving range (target distances unmarked though) & around chipping area, good practice putting green. The chipping green could have used a little more space around it to practice longer pitches, & the practice bunker had very shallow sand (that could be the same as the course bunkers, though, in which case it would be appropriate). Practice balls (yellow) were fine.
