**1-star review — extremely disappointing and absolutely not worth the money.** We booked a 1-bedroom residence at the DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay specifically because we expected a nicer room with a kitchen, king bed, and balcony. What we got was completely different from what was advertised in the photos. The disappointment started the moment we walked into the hotel. There was a **very unpleasant smell** throughout the entrance, and the gentleman who checked us in was **rude and unwelcoming**. Huge red flag, but we decided to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. Then we walked into our room — and it looked **NOTHING like the photos online**. The room was run down, dated, and felt nothing like what we thought we were paying for. The bathroom was also **not properly cleaned, with hair all over the floor**. That is simply unacceptable for any hotel, especially one charging the prices they do. I also left with **terrible allergies**, which I strongly suspect was related to the dust and cleanliness of the room. By the time we arrived, it was almost midnight, so cancelling the first night wasn't really an option. We were so unhappy with the room and overall

Under NO circumstances should you book with this hotel while under construction. Renovations are a necessary evil, we all understand that, but in no way are the conditions of this hotel habitable. Upon my arrival at 10am the water had been shut off, I was told it would only remain off for 1-2 hours. The water remained off until after 9pm that night. Durning my stay I was not able to use the bathroom, wash my hands, or shower. The halls were filthy with dirty sheets and towels, the elevators constantly shut off for hotel residents. If you enjoyed the movie “Backrooms”, perhaps this aesthetic will greatly appeal to you, the liminal spaces were both eerily confusing and disgustingly bleak. More than that, the staff was horribly unfriendly and unaccommodating. To ask to merely even point out an available bathroom on the block, felt as though I was asking the staff for the blood of their first born child. Let me be so perfectly clear, If you would like the ability to relieve yourself at any point at the lodging you have paid for during your stay in Miami, don’t book here. Have a lovely day, and never take your household toilet for granted.

Hotel is under a lot of construction. Extremely not accessible if you are handicapped. First room smelled like bad sewer and had to change rooms. The wood on the furniture in the first room was literally breaking apart. Convenient stores and shops connected downstairs but literally stepped on a screw from all the construction going on. If you get an ocean view it is lovely on the balcony.
