If you want to take the family out this park is the place to be!! You want to enjoy some fresh air, come have a seat at a picnic table or bring a blanket!! There a pool, lake, playground, and a convenient neighborhood store across the street if you forgot a snack & drink. There's something for everyone!!

A wonderful playground and park with pond and wild birds who are scareless and approach very close to humans. Located in the Sacramento Downtown. Plenty of spaces for kids (3+) to run around, scream, play and communicate. Workout tools, slides and educational boards (alphabets, numbers, sounds, Braille, etc.) will make your child actively learning, as well as understanding inclusion and inclusion. This is a good place to spend time playing musical instruments together or talk to your child about empathy, respect and nature.

Lush 20-acre garden with various activities for family! The park was designed by a team that included John McClaren, known for his work on San Francisco's Golden Gate Park!!! Pickleball court: checked: quite busy with great energy!! Kids playground: checked: a unique "Universal Universe" solar system-themed adventure playground, a lot of kids playing around freely. It has mini merry-go-round, musical section and play areas. It also has get together area for picnic next to kids playground! Huge lake: checked: well maintained with some fishing piers. We encountered some fishermen enjoying their Sunday. Public restrooms: checked Free street parking: checked Animals/insects: checked: muscovy duck, canada geese, ladybird Check out their iconic stage with beautiful mural. Go to "Do the Bay" website for their upcoming events!! This park is also walking distance to Sundays Farmers Market under the Bridge, if you ever want to do a little shopping. The only downside is homeless camp here and there. Stay vigilant!!

Southside Park is a Historic landmark! Always a relaxing time. Fun for the whole family. A very nice to go and Chill, walk, jog, play basketball, fish or watch the ducks!! Check it out.👍🏾

Really love this park for a morning walk, the pond with the ducks and geese is charming and paths are well maintained with plenty of benches.

We arrived to the park mid afternoon via scooter, set our rides down near an old tree, and proceeded to walk the significant trail system. The lake drew our attention and served as excellent bird habitat. We didn’t see anyone fishing at the time but it seems the lake is set up to facilitate that activity. The concrete observation decks with great views of the lake were wonderful, and we appreciated being able to sneak beneath those and find private spots to spend together.
