Extremely concerned about the lack of supervision and safety at this child care. On two separate occasions, I have walked in to find my young children crying hysterically, only for the staff on duty to completely ignore them or have absolutely no idea what happened. First Incident (March): My 2-year-old was in extreme distress. Despite three adults being in the room, not a single staff member could tell me what happened. Their only response was "I didn’t see anything." A follow-up phone call yielded the exact same deflective response. Second Incident (June 16th): I watched a staff member literally stare at my crying, hysterical daughter from across the room, making zero effort to comfort her or see what was wrong. When confronted, she avoided eye contact and pretended nothing happened. Another worker tried to brush it off by claiming my daughter "only started crying when she saw me," which was completely untrue. Kids cry—that is normal. What is NOT normal is paid staff being completely passive, ignoring distressed children, and failing to provide parents with a basic explanation of what happened under their watch. My family and I enjoy this YMCA! Friendly staff, always courteous and respectful when entering and existing building. Very clean and sanitary. Great kids programs, my kids have been involved for about 4 years now. One of the best YMCA in the area. Highly recommend getting a membership.

For my first time going, the ladies at the counter were outstanding and kind on helping me set up a profile. I took a swim in the pool during free swim hours and it was very clean, water was cozy, and so nice to enjoy. The life guard was even kind too. Womens locker rooms were very clean, showers worked great and had plenty of warm water. We will be returning!

I have been a member of this YMCA location since March 2022. For nearly four years, I have paid my membership consistently and have worked out here regularly without incident. Today, that changed — and not in a good way. While stretching before my workout, I was approached by a personal trainer named Joe and told that my outfit was “inappropriate” and that I needed to “find a shirt to cover up.” I was further told that “this is a family establishment, not LA Fitness” and that “there are kids here.” I have attached an image of what I was wearing here. I have worn similar workout sets for years at this location without ever being approached or warned. I was informed that the rule is “not always equally enforced,” but that next time I could be asked to leave. That inconsistency is exactly the problem. If there is a dress code, it should be clearly communicated and consistently enforced. Selective enforcement feels arbitrary at best and discriminatory at worst. The language in the written policy — particularly regarding clothing that “accentuates body parts” — reads as disproportionately targeting women’s athletic wear. I love this Y! My family and I have been going here since we became Y members 5 years ago. Rodney at the front desk is always welcoming and very warm and friendly - his smile makes me happy every time I pass by! My kids love the childcare while I workout, or when my mother in law comes to the Y on the days she is babysitting. My kids have been in Y sports, dance and swim classes throughout the years - coaches and instructors are so caring. This place keeps my whole family healthy and happy!
