I was skeptical going because ive had horrible ordeals at Joe pool lake but this was a great kid friendly area! Loved it, had 5 kids under 7 years old running around. When I tell you they had a blast! From the clean swimming area to tjs nice real Beach sand. I will be taking my grandbabies back again soon. My son rented one of the cabins, such a great idea! Walking distance to the water. Honestly spent whole 8 hours there enjoying the beach.

Absolutely loved this place… clean and easy to find. Close to family in the area and the views (yes I know it is a City park) were just right. Headed through the area in the spring and will be spending a few nights there again!

Nice park. Our site wasn’t very clean and we had to clean it. Leave no trace is not a thing for some people. Decent restrooms but they don’t have paper towels and the hand dryer doesn’t work. At least in the women’s restroom close to our campsite. But overall, it’s a nice park.

I am a brand new full-timer. This was my first camp site. It has to get better!!! first off, when you reserve a campsite, it does not include your vehicle. There is a $10 fee per vehicle per day on top of your campsite fee. It does not tell you this when you book it. As a brand new full-timer, I am in the middle of changing my billing address. I tried to book my site for several more nights, but when I got to the end, my payment would not go through because my billing address was apparently not correct. I am in the middle of searching for a tow vehicle and it slipped my mind that the payment did not go through… until I went online and tried to book it again a few nights later after the gate attendant said it wasn’t showing. Then I remembered what had happened. I was planning on heading up to the office to square up in the morning when Paul, the Park superintendent, knocked on my door. I explained everything to him. He did not care at all and told me he needed me to get out by noon. Wow! I tried to stop by the office and explain again. They weren’t interested in just kept saying, “all I know is you have to be out by noon.” It seems there’s always something like this at this park. I

Great place to just hang out. I boat here every year, easy to get to, big enough to spend the weekend on the water.
