Chula Vista is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Chula Vista is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This gym is awesome! I love all the amenities that come with the membership, but the classes are definitely my favorite part. I hate having to plan my own workouts or figure out what exercises to do, so I love being able to take a class where someone tells me exactly what to do. It makes working out so much easier and more enjoyable! The membership is a little pricey, but I definitely think it’s worth it for everything that’s included. We came on a pretty busy day, and even then, there was still plenty of space and equipment available to complete our workout without having to wait around. So far, I’m really happy with the gym and everything it has to offer!

I really love the facilities and how clean and well-maintained everything is. Overall, it’s a beautiful and very pleasant place to work out. The only area where I feel there could be some improvement is the intensity of the classes. Most of them feel quite light, and I haven’t found a class where I truly feel challenged or like I’m getting a more intense workout. It would be great to have options for different fitness levels, including more advanced or higher-intensity classes, rather than having most classes feel geared toward beginners, even if they aren’t officially labeled that way. I would also really appreciate having signs in the sauna and steam room reminding guests to keep their voices down and respect the quiet environment. These areas are meant for relaxation, and it can be very distracting when groups come in talking and laughing loudly without considering the people around them. I personally try to avoid the busiest hours for this reason. The time I spend at the gym is not only about exercising, it’s also my time to relax, disconnect from work, and clear my mind. I really enjoy the facility, and I think these small changes would make the overall experience even bet

Long-time member, but recently disappointed by how a pool closure was handled at this location. The pool was closed with zero advance notice β€” no email, no app alert, no signage ahead of time, no front desk heads up when we walked in. To make it worse, when I asked about access, I was denied entry even though there appeared to be available spots/capacity at the time, which made the whole situation feel arbitrary and poorly communicated. I understand things come up, but as a paying member I expect basic heads-up communication before a core amenity like the pool is shut down. Hoping management improves how these situations are handled and communicated going forward. The pool was absolutely not full against what the front desk said, here's a photo taken at 6:05 pm 1 hour after they told us there was only 45 spots left but we could no longer register (which was at 5:05pm the event started at 5pm) We had no interest to join the event and there is clearly no need to close BOTH pools.

This is where Life Time excels. Large facility, spacious locker room with a full rejuvenation center (cold plunge, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room), outdoor lap and recreation pools (chlorinated with sodium chloride base), indoor and outdoor pickleball courts (1 indoor , 4 outdoor), and robust cardio and strength sections of the gym. The recovery section has Hyperice massage guns, Normatec leg massagers, and cryolounges. Helpful staff, too. I wish I lived closer!
