We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hyatt for our large family vacation. Traveling with kids and grandkids can be challenging, but the hotel made everything easy, enjoyable, and memorable. A special thank you to Paula at the front desk, who went above and beyond to help us coordinate rooms for our entire family. She was incredibly helpful in arranging activities and securing a cabana for us, ensuring that everyone had a great experience. Her attention to detail, friendliness, and willingness to help made a huge difference in our stay. The hotel was very family-friendly, with plenty of activities for all ages, and the staff consistently provided excellent service. Our family created wonderful memories together, and we truly appreciated the warm hospitality. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun, relaxing, and well-organized getaway

Disappointing Stay – Not the Resort Experience It Used to Be ​Having visited this property in the past, my recent stay at Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa fell well short of expectations. While it remains a beautiful location, the sheer volume of service lapses, room maintenance issues, and dining flaws resulted in a average 3-star experience. ​Arrival & Room Issues ​Valet & Luggage Delays: Upon arrival, valet assured us our bags would be delivered to the room, but we faced significant delays waiting for them to show up. ​Room Maintenance: The room itself had noticeable defects, including low shower water pressure, a loose shower door seal, a worn patio door track, and TV connectivity issues. ​Cleanliness Concerns: Most unpleasantly, we found ants on the bed during our stay. ​Dining & Service Lapses ​Restaurant Service: Dining throughout the property was a hassle. We experienced long waits just to get seated by a host, slow service for takeout orders, inattentive waitstaff, and basic missed details like missing condiments. ​Food Quality & Variety: The menu variety and overall food quality were subpar for a resort of this tier. ​Bar Incident: At the bar, the bartender

This place is awesome. Great family fun. Did a weekend getaway no golf, just lazy river, kayak, pool, outdoor movie, smores, balloon toss. My daughter (2 years) said this is awesome probably 15 times. GREAT STAFF. Awesome. Gave 4 stars for the rooms because they are great but pretty basic. Don’t spend a lot of time there anyways. Great job whoever is running this massive resort.

Stayed 4 nights at Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa while checking out the resort for a future event, and this is truly a family resort. Check-in was smooth and I was upgraded to a Retreat Room on the 4th floor. As a Hyatt Globalist, I received complimentary breakfast each morning along with the room upgrade, which was appreciated. However, I was surprised there was no welcome amenity in the room, especially for a resort at this level. The property recently completed a massive $100 million renovation and added impressive new amenities including the stunning lagoon and expanded event spaces. The room itself was spacious and well appointed. However, for a room category marketed as an “upgraded” experience, it felt like it was missing true premium touches. I personally would not pay extra for the Retreat Room upgrade. Turndown service never happened, the gold bathroom fixtures were already showing noticeable wear, there were no upgraded toiletries, and the morning offering of small croissants didn’t really justify the Retreat branding. That said, the floor was quiet and relaxing. Just note that weekends here are extremely busy with events and families, so expect a lively a
