Lots of improvements to the site itself. The staff are helpful and trying but the hotel itself is shabby and needs upgrades. Not what you would expect from a Marriott establishment. It seems like they are waiting for it to just get worse and then come in and help refurbish the hotel. Wall paper peeling and parking lot is not well lit . It’s hard to find the entrance from any of the frontage roads. Chipped paint on the interior. No towels for the pool or spa. The breakfast was very good and a good portion for the price. Maintenance and desk staff available but can only do so much.

The best thing about being so convenient for travelers, was we came in very hungry and they had a restaurant in lobby...so we sat down and enjoyed a rib-eye steak (best I've ever had and a super salmon dinner). I want the receipe for the sauce on that perfectly cooked steak which was perfect! If you stay here..enjoy what they make, delicious! Pet friendly on top of that! If by chance the chef reads this...would love the recipe for that sauce!

Property is definitely very dated. Hallways could use some deep cleaning. Planters on upper floors on side of hallways are just full of weeds. Spider webs all over too. Rooms are better than the outside, but the bathrooms could really use some updating. The beds though are probably some of the most comfortable I've slept on (reminds me of the Westin Heavenly beds). Location is great next to the harbor with restaurants and places to walk.
