Played the lakes course today. Greens are rough. There is construction on the course and we had machinery and side by sides riding in front of us and behind us the entire day. Showed up a hour early for the range, no range balls either. For the money charged, play Woodbridge in Wylie.

We held a 40-man 'Ryder Cup' style event here with half the players from outside Texas and half from the area but never played Bridges. We all had a great time and the Bridges course was very challenging but a lot of fun to play. We did play all three 9s and Champions and Masters were much more enjoyable than Traditions. The Traditions 9 was fun but it's 3rd in my opinion. I was able to set up all my tee times and food ahead of time with the course and they made things really easy for me from outside the area. We came and did a practice round before our event and the staff on that day and the day we came back to compete was super helpful, friendly, and made our experience a positive experience. We had scratch players going from the Gold tees and single digit players going from the Blues and double digit going from the Whites and it made for some really competitive matches. A lot of the greens are elevated so it requires some skill to hit greens and hit it close. The course is not easy but it's not overly tricked out and too difficult, it's fair but requires you to play the game and not just slap it around. Well placed fairway bunkers and nice hole designs made the course flow well

There was no grilled food available at the clubhouse because of a staff shortage according to the employee I spoke with. The left side pond on #9 on the lakes course has eroded so badly that it is pushing into the the fairway. The view from the Tee Box is not ideal. I couldn't even figure out where the black and white pole was at first because the intended "Fairway" had a cart path and hills running through it. The only thing I can think of is that area eroded so badly that they had to change the layout of the hole and in my opinion, they did a terrible job at it. Now that the old course has been renovated the lakes course is by far the worst golf course in firewheel park. The erosion is so bad on number 10 that there is now a 10 foot wide ravine that cuts across the Fairway that, according to the scorecard, used to only be a very small left side hazard. Some of the tee boxes were so dry that I couldn't even put my tee in ground. It snapped in my hands. It is the middle of March and some of the tee boxes are already this dry? Good luck during the summer

We played The Lakes Course today. Definitely challenging but getable. Absolutely outstanding golf course in great shape! Friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend!

Great every day courses! Tee boxes were good, greens were good, carts are perfect- they have a GPS in each one that advises the distance to the hole. Restrooms on the old course were very nice, clean!! There’s a little restaurant, drinks, soda, water, you can get ice! They have someone who comes out who you can buy drinks from. Great inexpensive course to play! Some of the greens aren’t pristine, however, it’s a great course, beautiful trees, water areas for wildlife, and a great walk if you don’t get the cart!!! Go, & just have fun!!!!
