Absolutely fantastic place to stay over on a road trip. We usually stop for the day early afternoon so our lads can get the wiggles out in the pool after a long day in the car. Just an amazing resort style pool makes you want to stay extra days! The room was gorgeous and clean and comfy! The staff were so great. I had declined the welcome cookie as one of the lads has a tree nut allergy… staffed member reached in his box of goodies and pulled out delicious allergy and gluten friendly cookies!! Will definitely recommend this place on every level!

I especially loved the lobby and lounge area—it has a modern vibe with unique décor, vintage speakers, guitars, and plenty of comfortable seating. It felt like a place where you could actually relax instead of just passing through. The staff was friendly, check-in was smooth, and the warm DoubleTree cookie was a nice touch. I’d definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Bakersfield.

Many weird things about this hotel. Rooms are nice sized. Do not expect to have your room serviced unless you order it. I wasn't informed of this until I asked the from desk why no one has dumped my trash for days. I even had passed housekeeping on my way out and told her she could go in but she didn't say I had to request it. Print center is nuts. They have some generic directions that don't work for iPhone even with the HP app. The front desk said a lot of people have issues and you have to email it and they'll print for you. Also, got a hard cookie upon check in. Fitness center open 24 hrs which is nice but it's mainly just some cardio machines and some free weights. Water station in there is the only place to get purified water. No hot though and that posed a challenge to make my hot tea. Restaurant open very short hours. Little staffing at the front desk. I've only seen one person ever there. Phones have buttons for wake up call and front desk that don't work. When I reported it, the maintenance guy literally just wrote me a note to call 0 instead of programming it. Lack of signage to find lobby so if you take the stairs or I did and get lost, you might be on a maze for a bi
