poor customer service. indecisive. was told i can use a picture id in confidence and then told i could not. they also don’t know how to run their own website, if someone is able to order something on a guest account but cant add another individual as a alternative pickup, then what’s the point in being able to order something as a guest? a question they couldn’t answer, uses costumer service number as a out to not answer questions they don’t know the answer to. don’t tell me something with confidence if you don’t know the correct answer. poor poor poor.

Academy has always been my go to spot for hunting and fishing supplies for my lodge, but today may have been my last visit unless something changes. Once again, I ran in to get something really quickly and Academy made that impossible. They had what I needed, and at a good price. I knew right where to find it, and I should have been in and out, except for the fact that once again they had 12 check out stands but only TWO were open. Both were signing up people for credit cards instead of checking people out, so the line was all the way out into the aisle. It took me 5 minutes to shop and 15 to check out. Never again.

I love academy, but I just experienced the worst customer service with an employee. She was not friendly or approachable. Paid out and scanned my card and I didn’t have a pin on there, she just stared at me and I said I don’t have a pin and instead of trying to re scan my card and try again she said I need to use another card. No help at all and I wasn’t planning on using another card. Not one smile not one have a good day. No help.. Nothing.

Hello Academy Sports + Outdoors, I would like to tell you about my experience at the Waco Texas - New Road drive location today. I elected to go ahead and stop by your store and purchase an item. With the ease and simplicity of ordering on Amazon now, it is something that I seldom do..… That is to go into a local retailer for a specific unique item. When I pulled up, I noticed the store was very busy as determined by the number of vehicles in the parking lot. When I got in the store, I noticed a very large amount of people standing in the checkout line. I went back and found the item that I needed, but never did see a store employee available or assisting any customers. They had not been available to help me find the item that I needed. When I got to the shelves and reviewed the in stock options, I found them to be almost 100% higher price than what I could buy online. Since I was in the store, I went ahead and selected an item and figured I would just pay the difference. But when I got to the checkouts, there was one in-person register open and over 15 people in line to be checked out. This review is more for a specific person. Patrick the boss at the gun section was one of the most professional people I've ever dealt with. He explained the gun and suppressor purchase and was very patient. Bot only that but he was also teaching the other association and looks like he's a great chill boss that cares for his workers. I found my store to buy any future guns and suppressor! Thanks Patrick may Academy continue to hire great people like you.
