The quality of the field is garbage now. 2.5 years ago it was beautiful. Always nicely landscaped. Cut beautifully now it looks abandoned.

I’ve long enjoyed playing soccer and tennis, but recent changes have significantly impacted the quality of the experience. The growing popularity of pickleball and the addition of fencing around the fields have created challenges that need attention. Specifically, pickleball players have been using the tennis courts, leaving behind adhesive tape that damages the surface and creates a cluttered, unsafe playing environment. The courts are often left littered, requiring cleanup before other sports can resume. Additionally, some pickleball players display an entitled attitude, disregarding shared court etiquette and making it difficult for tennis players to access the facilities fairly.

Every other game gets cancelled because of rain. Just pull out the grass and put turf. What’s the point of having a field when leagues can’t even use it half the time. Leaving my sons league and headed somewhere else due to this being the field they “play” on. Gotta love breaking the news that the field is closed weekly and there’s no game.

This is just outrageous. It used to be a public park for years and now all the sudden they build fences around the park and told people that they can’t play because the fields are reserved for those who paid. This is funny because everyone pay taxes but they decided to create business out of a place that people/ family use to hang out with each other. I missed the times that I and my friends come and play soccer with each other there and see family hang out there in the afternoon. Bad decision by the city of Garland

This park has fallen apart.. used to be a beautiful public park but now it has become a rarely used ‘private’ park. Have lived directly across from this park for 3 years now and was the main reason for moving over here. But now they harass anyone coming onto this park unless your apart of one of the leagues which never play on this field. I look at this park every single morning as my balcony faces this place and rarely see anyone on it since they started policing this park for the past 9months now. It’s sad, I really enjoyed this place, enjoyed seeing kids and couples play outside, folks get some exercise, workout sessions but now nothing more than another privatized park that’s owned by the city. Crazy how I’m staring at all the damaged goal posts all along the fences, all turned out of place. What happened? Who is over this place that has a vendetta against a public park? Only in America can you not run & play on public grass.
