Over all the gym seems nice. The equipment that breaks seams to be repaired in a timely manner and the overall selection of equipment is great. The other people working out seem to clean up after themselves. The only bad things I’ve noticed are one man that consistently has to remove his shirt to walk past the child drop off and pick up area. That seems very odd. The front staff noted that it seemed strange too but did not address it. (No swimming area near that location) The shower doors do not stay closed and constantly open. The staff told me to shove a towel in the door to prevent it from opening. And the last is the staffs wiliness to open a locker without verifying its owner. Some staff have commented on several thefts resulting from this yet, they continue to hand out the master key and open lockers for whoever asks them to with zero verification. Recently I have noticed that some gym members choose to use the hot tub naked. This is actually a misdemeanor when other adults are there and a felony if children are present. The manager appears to be attempting to rectify the problem but the staff are failing to follow through on their part. Kinda has me wondering why a facilit

Though the gym has its flaws in other areas.. the KidZone is the reason why we remain members. I’m very particular about who my kids are around. Each staff member in the KidZone is excellent. One of the only places my kids willingly go and enjoy. Having to adjust my own standards with workout equipment to ensure my kids are well taken care of is worth the trade.

This gym seemed so promising when I first joined but it is not worth the money. Honestly, you get a better deal at CA. Their crowd is mostly geared towards teenagers, which would be fine except they have no gym etiquette. No one wipes down equipment after use, often weights and weight plates are not put back. They have ONE working water fountain, but the water doesn’t shoot out far enough for you to even take a sip without touching the spout. That’s not even touching the facilities… the majority of the people that join are into weight lifting, but there’s almost no space to workout comfortably. It really doesn’t even matter what time you go, you’ll probably be waiting for a long time to use any piece of equipment. Practically the only cable machine down in the basement is ALWAYS broken or out of service, and since there is only one for the entire gym, always busy. So much useable space is taken up by mostly unnecessary things. Do you really need so much space for a huge restaurant that is only used for a few months out of the year? The Pros Verdure definitely isn’t short on space. In fact, they have so much space that they’ve dedicated an entire area to pole vaulting—because apparently someone out there is training for the 2032 Olympics or reliving their high‑school glory days. Sarcasm aside, the open layout does mean there’s room for calisthenics, CrossFit‑style workouts, and a handful of amenities: basketball courts, racquetball courts, an outdoor pool, a restaurant, and a hot tub. Most members are pretty good about re‑racking their weights, which is honestly refreshing. The Cons Here’s the problem: I will never use 90% of those amenities, and I suspect most members won’t either. They feel like expensive add‑ons that drive up membership costs so paying members can subsidize apartment tenants and non‑paying users. When Crunch Fitness lets me work out for under $12 a month, it’s hard not to notice the mismatch. The real issue is that Verdure doesn’t seem to cater to the people who actually use the gym: the lifters. The weight area is always crowded, and there aren’t enough dumbbells—even during slow hours. This place has gone down hill bad. Lockers are always brocken, bathrooms are always dirty, the steam room is always broken and disgusting, the hot tub is always broken. Don't go in the pool barefooted you can cut your feet. The tiles in the pool are broken. The machines are always out of order, the floor in the small work out room s is coming out. There is so much more. Employees are always just sitting around and obviously not cleaning. It has potential and a nice concept but lacks leadership and good employees.
