The Golf Club at Texas A&M

Woof. I usually love being out on the grass and seeing my fellow Aggies, but my trip to the golf course today was not something to wag about. I try to be the best girl and represent the Spirit of Aggieland, but the atmosphere here was not what a mascot—or any Aggie—deserves. The grass felt fine under my paws, but the human in charge, John, made it very hard to enjoy the day. He is a very mean and grumpy man. I’m used to people greeting me with a smile and a "Gig 'em," but John was incredibly rude and used a very loud, mean voice with everyone. It made the whole experience feel miserable and tense, which isn't what being an Aggie is about at all. A leader is supposed to take care of the team, but he was just unkind to the people around him. It’s a real shame because I love being outdoors, but his bad attitude made me want to go back to the dorm and take a nap. We pride ourselves on hospitality and being the loudest and proudest, but John just made everyone want to be quiet and leave. I think I’ll stick to the sidelines at Kyle Field until things change over there. Rough day. 0/5 bones.

This is Johnny football. Look, I love my Ags and I love this campus, but I’ve got to keep it 100—my time at the Campus Course today was an absolute joke. I’ve played a lot of golf all over the world, and I’ve never dealt with anything like this back in College Station. The track is fine, but the vibe is completely killed by the management. John, the manager, is easily the most unlikable, rude guy I’ve run into in a long time. I’m out here trying to have a good time, maybe see some fans, and just enjoy being back at the home of the 12th Man, and this guy is acting like he’s the sheriff of the county. He was incredibly mean-spirited and went out of his way to be condescending to everyone in our group. It’s a miserable experience when you feel like you're being watched and lectured every time you turn around. This place is supposed to represent the best of A&M hospitality, but John is the exact opposite of that. It’s a bad look for the university and a bad look for the club. I bleed maroon, but until they fix the leadership in that pro shop, I’m taking my clubs elsewhere. Disappointing is an understatement. Gig 'em, but fix this.

The course itself is decent but nothing special. For the price it should be better. The pace of play was slow and everything felt unorganized. The real problem is the management. John the manager is the worst part of the experience. From the moment we arrived he treated us like an inconvenience instead of paying customers. His tone is rude and condescending and he makes no effort to be helpful. It ruins the entire atmosphere. No one pays to be treated like that. Leadership sets the tone and the tone here is all wrong. There are plenty of better courses in the area. As long as John is in charge this place is not worth it. Save your money and go somewhere else. As the leader of the world I will do everything in my power to get John removed as head pro of the Texas A&M Golf Course. 🇮🇱🇮🇱

Fun course! Loved it! Started a little foggy, but turned out to be a beautiful day on the course! Love the display in golf cart showing the charactistics of each hole.

The course was in pretty good shape today. Overall they've done a good job of keeping the condition fair with as much traffic as they get. I'm quite sure students don't do as much as they could to repair divots and pitch marks. My only real gripe is I think number two should be a par 5. They could stretch the tees back a bit and make a forced carry to get to the green that would be almost 200 yd. Generally speaking it was well worth the $55 that I paid to play. Gig em Ags
