pros: two gorgeously, freshly redone courts, one of them with a practice wall. but…. cons: first come first serve with a HEAVY pickleball presence, and even if you get insanely lucky and a court is available….. there are no lights :\ just two courts, with no lights, definitely does not feel like sufficient supply for the high demand in our neighborhood.

A bit difficult to find if you are not familiar with the Lagoon section of Belmont and there’s currently construction that blocks through traffic. That’s a blessing for cyclists but bad for parking etc. The park is well maintained and features restrooms,water fountains and hand sinks. Two tennis courts are also well maintained but frequently taken over by some volunteers teaching Pickleball which is taken seriously by instructors and students so, if you want to learn the game; lessons run five mornings a week.

2 tennis courts. On one of the courts is 4 pickleball court lines. Bring your own net. New wind-walls were put up but there is no lighting. So after you “fall back” the hour you’ll need to stop playing by 5:30 as it gets too dark. Other than that it’s a good place to bring your group. I never really see the pickleball courts packed, 25% at best. The pickleball side the courts does need some improvement on the floor there are some poorly repaired potholes. The kids playground is next to it so it’s great if you want to play and have your family nearby. The bathrooms are near too and clean.

Great place for tennis 🎾 but no light at night. One of the court has a wooden wall.

I don't know if what I'm about to say makes this park a 5-star or a 1-star, so I'll let the better educated reader be the judge. I loved playing tennis here. I loved shooting the basketball around. I loved laying out on the grass and reading a book (can't beat a sunny day and a James Patterson novel). I loved everything about the place. Then they started bringing in the large equipment and ripping out the park's soul. Sure, the tennis court is still there but how am I supposed to serve up aces when the beeping starts? It was bad enough when local vagrant, Gary the Gibbon, would walk into the tennis court and demand to see some sort of identification. I don't know if that's his real name but I did watch him spit on a little kid who was playing in the court next to me. He said the kid deserved it because "his backhand lacked intention." And I know what you're thinking, Gary's probably some down-on-his-luck homeless man. Wrong. Apparently, Gary (probably not his name) is a recently retired landscape artist. Or, he ended up with some money in a divorce. The story changes every week. Anyway, the last four or five times I've been at the park, the tennis courts have been taken over for
