THE WORST gym ever with The Worst people! Since it has been seven years after I graduated in 2019, I’m posting this! Aaron Tapper and Marcus St. Phard including Kenneth Maxey has All been reported to Department of Human Resources by me for violating my First Amendment rights because they did not allow me to wear my Fire Department PT gears including shirts and shorts! I have Fully utilized this place for my CPAT testing including the physical fitness training for my Firefighter I/II Academy training. I have also reported Dave Edward’s and Keya Allen to Department of Human Resources AND Aaron Tapper along with Marcus St. Phard as well as Kenneth Maxey has also been reported to Brian Fennessy, Wolfgang Knabe as well as Daryl L. Osby, and since January 2019, due to Santa Barbara articulation of visitors, I also reported all of them to Mark A. Hartwig as well and the staffs here are EXTREMELY rude! Avoid this gym by all means and Remember: you have the right to file Complaints to the Highest level of management staffs at all times!

Unhelpful frontdesk, wouldn't bother to even greet customers. Beware that if you try to do a daily pass you'll spend 30 mins downloading apps and filling out forms, so in the end it is prolly not worth it. Great facilities otherwise.

My experience at this university just keeps getting worse... I commute 30-50 minutes back and forth, depending on traffic and would often times forget to bring my shorts to the gym. I was stopped by one of the associates that I have to bring my shorts on week 1 as a new student, since it is a safety hazard, but this is all done by the person who does a good job at taking care of themselves along with the equipment at the recreation center. UC Irvine's Recreation Center does not have this rule and it felt unwelcoming of CSUF's Recreation Center to enforce such rules on students. I asked one of the associates if they loan shorts or anything to students, in case I forget mine and often times I do, because I am a graduate student often running to campus to work on seminar work and research. Feels like I am wasting my gym membership at this university for not bringing shorts :/ I don't get financial aid either as a graduate student. Not welcoming students to the gym cause I forgot to bring shorts is insulting and a waste of my money.
