More stuff for sports than you ever realized you might need or want! And, if you join their “Basementer” program, everything is at least 10 percent off! Only suggestion I might make is to provide a store directory or map (if there was one of these, I didn't see it). One more upside, associates weren't pushy (unlike that other chain of outdoor stores).

Amazing location -- it's huge! Everyone was super nice. Loved the big "pre-loved" section upstairs too -- it was like a quirky athletic thrift store! Much more than I expected. Can't wait to go back.

I was looking for a pair of waterproof track running shoes for my wife. I've searched for some retail stores in the area. We went to three other stores but couldn't find any before we came to the Sports Basement Berkeley. First of all, the store was in a very unique building. It was an old skating place before. It was a high ceiling and pretty big building with natural light comes through a lot of windows. They have a variety of high quality goods from different kinds of sports and outdoor needs. It feels like you can always find something that you're looking for. For me, I really enjoyed walking around the store when my wife was trying those shoes she found. She got a pair of HOKA, her favorite brand at the end. We got a very good price for the shoes because we joined as a member. This membership only cost $25 for lifetime and it features 10% off everyday purchase after that, plus some members only items with extra discount. I think it's a good deal for a well managed store. And their staff are all very friendly and patient. I'm glad that we came to the right store finally. It became my favorite local store where I'll check on things from time to time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great experience at Sports Basement Came in after the Bay Bridge Half and got an awesome 25% discount, which was already a huge win. Ended up signing up for the free Basementeer membership—definitely worth it for the ongoing savings. The staff were super friendly and helpful without being pushy, which made the whole experience really easy and enjoyable. Big bonus: the store is dog-friendly 🐶. Always a plus when you don’t have to leave your pup behind. Great deals, great vibe, and I’ll definitely be back.

I discovered this store yesterday. It's located in a beautiful big building and offers a wide variety of sports items and goods. Among them, I found a very good selection of camping items, obviously showing that the people who sell the products also use them. The staff was helpful when I asked advises about electric torches. A lot of sport gear and clothes in there, but too expensive for my budget. Until I find the "Preloved" articles: those clothes and goods are actually second hand items, at a very accessible price. A lot of sport style clothes, but not only, because in this section you can also find casual clothes, and even camping or swimming gear. I found excellent sandals, in very good condition, for 10$. Do not forget to have a look at the "Prevloved" section, upstairs, on the right hand corner! I will definitely come back in this beautiful stylish store!
