Would have rated a 1 star had management not compensated us for all of the inconveniences. Stayed for 6 nights. Negatives: Rooms are musty and questionably cleaned. Old and outdated. Appliances barely worked. Have to call and ask to get new towels delivered to your room, cannot just go get them from the front desk, and that is only during housekeeping “hours”. Had to call multiple times just to get towels brought to our room. No housekeeping services. Pool was dirty and unkept, hot tub was nasty. Wasps nests everywhere. Dog poop all over in the grassy areas of the facility. Cards to the room never worked, had to get new cards made multiple times just to get into our room. None of the doors to any of the facility worked. Pullout mattress on the couch was unusable - could not sleep on it. Breakfast was disgusting, cold and late to be put out. The 405 Freeway is directly behind this hotel and very loud in some areas of the facility. And the final straw for us was the fire alarm system - both the outside fire alarms and smoke detector in our room alarmed every single day and night we were there. Not recommend and will not come back again. We booked a week of stay Sunday to Friday, checked in on Sunday the front seat showed us the location of the room and said nothing else. Called Monday morning to see if there is room service, front desk said not on daily basis but we can request, we picked up towels and tried to schedule a cleaning service same day, but nothing happened. Tuesday we were curious so I went to front desk in person to ask if we can get room cleaning service, front desk said it is too late they can not schedule. On Wednesday, I went to ask again, the front desk guy said it is scheduled for Thursday but I can pick up the towels first. I was a bit annoyed already, they called on Wednesday to confirm, we confirmed. On Thursday morning during breakfast, I asked again if there is room cleaning service since there were a bit of sand on the bed that we need cleaning. Front desk checked the computer and confirmed our room is scheduled for cleaning. 7pm when we get back, guess what, no room cleaning service since, so I was a bit annoyed and called the front desk, a different employee picked up and said to me ridiculously, he said we only stay for 5 days, NO CLEANING SE

Stayed in room 522 for 3 nights. Room was clean and very spacious. The pool and hot tub were a plus for my children. Breakfast was hot and stocked. They only had bacon available on the first day I stayed. Close to the highway and restaurants. $10 parking fee per day. Hotel had wear and tear and could use a update. But overall I would stay here again if I was in the area.

If you’re looking for a beautifully designed, clean and well maintained space - a home away from home, then Sonesta ES Fountain Valley/Huntington location is it. My family and I have enjoyed our stay. The rooms are beautifully designed and upgraded. It genuinely felt like a luxurious, small apartment/studio; and the location is conveniently located near all the major attractions and highways. The staff and service are all so kind and amazing. This place is so underrated. This will certainly be my go to for whenever I travel to this area. Special thank you to Maria, Brittney, and Mario who went over and beyond to demonstrate kindness, which is hard to beat considering how amazingly kind and welcoming every staff member have been thus far - I mean everyone from every operation. You can’t make this up. Not only is this place beautifully maintained and well-kept, but the customer experience and service they deliver has been unmatched, in which prior to my stay here at Sonesta Extended Stay, I’ve mostly stayed at 5-star hotels thinking (or expecting) I would receive this level and quality of service (that I have experienced from this amazing 3-star hotel), only to be met with dis
