I’m writing as a parent who encourages my kids to stay active and enjoy outdoor play. Several times my 16, 17, and 5-year-old have walked to the park to practice soccer, exercise, or simply play, only to find that they are not allowed to use any part of the field when events are happening such soccer, games, or trainings. While I don’t mind driving them to another park if I'm with them, it’s unreasonable to expect kids to constantly find alternative spaces on their own, especially during summer when outdoor activity is so important. Parks are public spaces meant for recreation. If all events block casual use, it defeats the purpose for local residents. Kids without adult to driven them are especially limited, which discourages independent play. Having to “hunt for a place to play” reduces motivation, particularly for teenagers who value autonomy. This park is conveniently close to our home, yet my kids’ access is unnecessarily restricted, which is frustrating and disappointing. I hope the parks department will consider policies that allow shared access during events or schedule areas for general use so that all kids in the community can enjoy the park freely. What a great community resource! But not much for a doggie to do, since they aren’t allowed on the artificial turf, which is a substantial part of the park. But if you have kids, there’s a baseball field, soccer field, playgrounds, swimming pool - lots of ways to have fun.

Wonderful Experience at Robinson Park Pool! My 4-year-old daughter absolutely loved her swim lessons at Robinson Park Pool! The instructors were patient, kind, and highly skilled at working with young children. They made learning fun while helping the kids feel safe and confident in the water. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and very family-friendly. The water was the perfect temperature for little swimmers, and the shallow area gave my daughter the space she needed to practice without feeling overwhelmed. It’s been amazing to watch her grow more comfortable in the water each week. We’re so grateful for this local resource and the team that makes it all happen. Highly recommend Robinson Park Pool for any parent looking to get their child started with swim lessons in a supportive and welcoming environment!

This place has completely changed over the years. My kids swim here now. There is great pool with a fee I believe. However it's nice to have a place like this in the community. They also have a weight room and a room for what I assume could be for yoga and or ballet.
