Staycation mode activated! The hotel is more like a cozy community. With 2 story bungalow styles, legit kitchen (if you cook) bbq grill, pool, hot tub, gym...and more. The staff are so lovely and helpful. Any requests are met with a smile. The free breakfast was legit a real meal, not just fruit, cereal, coffee, and donuts. Personally I like a firm bed but I ain't mad about it. Clean rooms, towels, and a great atmosphere.

This use to be my number one place to stay when visiting Long Beach. But I will never be giving my money to this hotel ever again. Let’s start off by saying I am an African American woman. I pre booked this hotel weeks in advance. After driving for hrs with a 6 year old I arrived at this hotel about 11am. I was told that there were no rooms available at the moment by a Hispanic employee at the front desk, I even offered to pay extra with no success. I was told that I have to be put on a waiting list and when rooms open up I would be called in the order of the list. So I went to grab groceries and when I returned it was about an hr and a half later. There were a couple of people in line a Caucasian woman and asian woman. I sat close to the desk just to see if they would be offered a room or put on a waiting list. And what do you know they were offered rooms immediately! Followed by a Hispanic man who was also offered a room. Here I am with an extremely tired child after hrs of driving and no sleep and she had absolutely no empathy whatsoever. This hotel was a bit noisy. When we first arrived, it looked like there was a party forming of about 50 people and some were even blasting their car stereo in the parking lot, not a good look. At about 930pm, we called the front desk and they said they are trying to get the party to wrap up, which to their credit, they did! So I do think they do a good job with that here, and there was even a security guard checking the cars to make sure the cars were actually guests. Luckily, it seemed like the partygoers were not spending the night here, or maybe just a few of them had rooms. Despite this, later at night, I could hear people talking outside in the corridors as they went to and from their cars. This is just normal for the layout of the place I guess. The room itself was quite nice and clean as well as up to date, with a full kitchen. The bathroom was very clean and the air conditioning worked well. Some family members swam in the pool and used the hot tub and they said it was nice and they felt safe. We stayed at the Residence Inn Long Beach and had an amazing experience thanks to Paulina. From the moment we arrived, she was warm, professional, and completely on top of everything. We didn’t even have to ask questions because she explained everything so clearly. After a long, exhausting day, her customer service truly made a difference and completely turned my son’s birthday around. Our room was ready early, which was a huge plus, and the layout she selected for us was perfect. It’s rare to come across someone who is both genuinely kind and highly professional. I really wish more people had the same positive, welcoming attitude as Paulina. She made our stay memorable in the best way. Thank you so much, Paulina!
