Tomball ISD did a great job for the graduation ceremony. The event staff for Reed Arena was incredibly rude. Tomball paid for the arena, you would think the staff would understand that, but instead treated the patrons less than cattle. I heard from no less than 4 staff, wearing yellow shirts, to literally "get out". The ceremony that Tomball ISD worked hard to make great was stained less than 15 minutes after the ceremony by staff yelling at the event goers "you need to leave, we have another event". The correct thing to say is, "thank you for coming today, the exits are this way". We even had staff yelling at the back of the line to move forward, down the stairs. I guess we were supposed to trample over each other in order to comply. When the staff person was called out by the crowd, the staff member decided to argue and call the crowd "rude", it was quite amazing. I hope I do not have to return. Nice facility run by power tripped employees.

I hadn’t been to College Station in decades and was stoked to attend my nephew’s college graduation. I was very favorably impressed by how well-organized the ceremony was. With over 13,000 Aggies graduating, there were a total of 7 ceremonies, and I attended the 2pm one on Saturday. Reed Arena was a great venue, and because this particular ceremony included the commissioning of about 400 new armed services officers, there was an excellent slide show running on the big screens beforehand, that educated all guests about TAMU’s storied history as a source of military officers. Anyway, hats off — clean and comfortable facility, hospitable Aggies, and some excellent fight songs! 👏👏👏

Mandating clear bags and not even inspecting them is defeating the purpose of making them mandatory. Anyone can carry things on then that clear bags are claiming to prevent. Get actual metal detectors and x-ray machines so you get with on the same page as national professional leagues or even your rival schools. Diaper bags always are the exception to clear bags because they are deemed medically necessary. They're not just bags to hold diapers. They hold baby's milk which has to be stored cold and clear bags don't have this option to keep things cold. How do you treat people with more severe issues greater than baby's milk Shame on you for not allowing this! Oh and slapping a label on a storage room and calling it a "lactation room" is great! NOT! 😂

It's a nice venue, no doubt about it. But for people who are not current students (like this Aggie), having to create an online account and jump through hoops just to go in and watch a single game is absolute B.S., and I don't mean Bachelor of Science! Somebody please tell me how the current system is better than when you walked up to the ticket window, bought a ticket, then went inside. It took about 30 seconds to buy a ticket, and the line moved fast. This line moved SLOW. I shudder to think what would happen if my mom tried to attend a game in Reed. The line would grind to a halt for 30 minutes!

We went to 2 graduation ceremonies back to back. Plenty of parking space and lots of room indoors. They don’t let you bring in anything but they do sell food and drinks inside. Lots of seats and the huge tv help out to get a better view. Plus lots of outdoor space for pictures before or after event.
