My oldest daughter and her first grade class at TM Clark Elementary went on a field trip to see the Christmas Tree Forest and meet some super cute “holiday friends” this year and she had an absolute blast! Couldn’t stop telling me allllll about it and everything & everyone she got to see and do and was ALL smiles for at least a few days afterwards. Made an amazing lasting impression on my babygirl and my momma heart just loves that! Thank you Portland Community Center and Portland Chamber of Commerce etc for putting this all together each year!

A good friend that has a book store in the area told us about the friends of the library sale so we loaded up and checked it out. Hardcover books for a dollar and paperbacks for a quarter. We scored big time. I use a book list to cut down on repurchasing the same book.....works well most of the time.....when an error occurs it's a lot cheaper on the billfold. Found quite a few that were on my list.

Remodeling of weight rm, gym and cardio rm is complete. All new equipment. The weight room and basketball court have a new surface. The cardio rm looks like the concrete floor has been painted flat gray. The cardio rm's A/C runs a little warm. Machines are great. The weight rm is a converted racquetball court. Good selection of free weights and machines. Two sets of dumbbells and many types of machines. Squat rack. It is a bit odd that there is an open wall to the weight rm. An occasional basketball bounces in. On volleyball night that can be a problem if they set up two nets. It's an easy fix. An employee already suggested that a net be installed. There is one cardio room with cable TV usually set to ESPN. They have just about every kind of equipment you want. Depending on the time you go and if school is in session the basketball court is used frequently by teenagers and young adults. There is an indoor "track" that goes around the outside of the basketball court so walking around it while people are playing basketball is not the best setup. The gym closes at 9:30pm weekdays. Wished it would stay open a little later for working people who like to exercise in the later evenin
