New staff are much more personable and customer service oriented than some in the recent past. Will be great to get new cart paths and greens complete. Since the owner also has LFGC, would be great if they would offer memberships that allowed you to play both places.

Since new ownership a couple years back now I've seen nothing but improvements on greens, fairways and the price is nominal for around here. **It would be nice if they had a snack shack at #10, but all in all it is becoming one of the nicest courses around Lindale / Tyler area.

Staff was friendly. Course left a lot to be desired. They don't serve alcohol of any kind but do allow you to bring your own on the course. Unfortunately, they don't advertise this or make it readily known. It would have been nice to know in advance. There isn't any place close to get beer or alcohol. The course is public and shows it. It's well used. Tee boxes, fairways, greens are all worn and need maintenance. The price is reasonable but the course isn't up to "par". There are only 3 or 4 water stations, one was empty and the others didn't have ice in the barrel, warm water only. The layout is good. Cart paths are confusing. Some are paved, some are dirt, they crisscross a lot with little to no signage. Scenery is very nice, lots of trees, water, and elevation changes. Carts are decent, a little worn but drive well. Pace was good with a couple marshals along the way. Our group went back to the club house between the 9th and 10th holes. (Straight track from holes 1 to 18) Returned without any problems for us or the groups we slid in front of. Overall the course is relatively easy with a few challenging holes. Well, its a public course and very well used so you shouldn't expect too much. We played on a Sunday, May 17, and it was fairly busy. Pace of play was good, we even stopped after 9 holes and returned to the club house for drinks. Then returned to #10 without any problem waiting or getting in anyone elses way. 2 negatives concerning drinks : 1) they do not serve alcohol of any kind. You can bring your own on to the course but that is not emphasized before hand. We would have liked to have had a couple beers during the round and would have been happy to bring our own if we had known. 2) there are only 3 water stations on the course. 1 barrel was empty (14th hole) and none had ice in the barrel, warm water at best. Course conditions are as stated, it's a well used public course. The tee boxes are hard and need re-sodding. Fairways are fair at best, somewhat hard and packed down. They need to be seeded and watered. Greens were rough. They had been aerated a coupe weeks earlier according to the pro but the real problem was the lack of grass.
