I did not have a very welcome reception. 3 courts are for reservation only while the fourth court is for open play. 4 players were on the open play court and they refused to allow someone outside their group to play on. I should have challenged them but I didn’t. Pickleball in most places are welcoming to outsiders. It is one of the benefits of the game. Unfortunately cliques and closed minded people are seeping into this great game. I love visitors to come to my home courts. It brings the world to me. Montclair, you have a choice. Do you want to be the small minded cliques or the welcoming champion of inclusiveness.

4 pickleball courts. But there's no open play in the weekday mornings - people are there in their own closed groups

There are 4 courts here, two side-by-side. Clean and well-maintained. You can reserve the courts online. There is cement stadium seating with a wire gate looking down over the courts and benches by the entrances. There are two entrances. Go down the hill either way from the street. The park in general there’s no dogs, but plenty of dogs were seen, including inside of the court. There is a cardboard trashcan in the middle of the two sides, which is handy, but needs a lid. Sometimes the ball flies in there and you get gum in your hands. Street parking, sometimes paid. There is parking at the tennis courts but they all say reserved.

FINALLY THERE ARE REAL PICKLEBALL COURTS IN OAKLAND Four courts with an elevated seating area for spectators. Park is open from 6:00 until 10:00. The courts do not have lights and the nearby bathroom is not open. Get those taken care of and it's a five star setting.
