I'm local - but have always wanted to stay at this hotel as my family and I love the beach. This was a short staycation - and was pricey(summer time) - but well worth it. Customer service was great. Room was dated - but cozy and met our needs. They thought of everything - easiest beach set up ever(chairs and umbrellas set up for us whenever we wanted). We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and although it was a good average dinner, the view was spectacular. Bought a s'mores kit - more than enough for a family of four. A 5 minute walk takes you to several choices for breakfast lunch and dinner. We went from the room to breakfast to the beach to the pool. Walked to lunch then back to the beach(set up still there) and then back to the pool - all while ordering drinks and snacks with ease. We went during FIFA 2026 so we could watch at the bar or in our room with no hassle. The parking charge was a bit much but expected as we parked overnight - the same as with any high end hotel. I expected it to be more noisy at night with families staying there during the summer but our evenings were quiet and relaxing. Could be due to the US and Mexico not moving forward to the Round of 16 :( Will

My family has come to La Jolla for years, and finally decided to try La Jolla Shores hotel, and now I cannot imagine why we didn't try it sooner! I really wanted the beachside hotel experience, and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it here. The hotel was poolside, even though we were supposed to have garden view, but that's fine. We actually got a small little view of the ocean. It was a 2 queen size beds, but the room between the beds and the TV stand/dresser/desk was quite spacious and very much appreciated. It was wonderful to have pool and beach access so easily, with chairs/umbrellas/towels included with the beach resort fee. There are 2 feet washing stations too! And being connected to the restaurant made it so nice too! My only three complaints were: 1) The shower curtains are too short, and allow for shower water to easily come out, which then runs through the tile grout lines all over the shower/toilet area and into the vanity area. 2) The room key did not give us access to the garage like it was supposed to, but thankfully the front desk just gave us a scannable pass to get in and out. 3) We were on the second floor, with a outside public hallway outside, a util

We loved this hotel! The price tag was steep but for what its worth. The ocean view 2 beds for 1 night was over 550. But it was so beautiful, clean and their amenities were amazing. Keep in mind you get the classic slightly worn paint or this or that typically seen in most coast hotels. But overall wonderful. We especially enjoyed how they will set up the beach umbrellas and chairs for you to sit outside by the ocean on the sand. Was a highlight of their services. The pool was nice and had poolside service along with 3 pools. Hot tub, kiddie pool and the normal pool. A+ place ill be back. P.s parking is $45 dollars not included.
