I switched over from Irving Soccer Association and the best decision I made! The staff is helpful, many activities for children to do indoor and outdoor, and we have a great coach! Coach Edgar Gonzalez is very dedicated and shows the kids discipline, commitment, teamwork and prepares them for real life! YMCA was the best association I have enrolled my children in!

I enrolled my daughter for swim lessons here. Initially I put her in a school age group, and afterwards in a private lesson. The classes are reasonable at 65$ for 8 group lessons and 75$ for 4 private lessons. And if you get a membership I think you get a discounted rate. I requested for Swim instructor Ryan after being impressed by his work with the kids during group sessions. I saw a huge progress in my daughter during the private class, Ryan is a dedicated teacher and made use of every second of the 30 min class. He's very sensitive to the needs of the students, assesses their ability and provides the encouragement needed. Kudos to Ryan and the team of swim instructors at the YMCA pool.

Like a lot of people I am having issues with enrollment as well. The present director, the previous director, & the one before that (see a pattern here). have not done a good job at implementing changes. It's always the same excuses. My child was not placed on a team, called many many times no luck finding the director, receive call backs weeks later, clueless employees & lack of information by anyone. I would not recommend this YMCA to anyone. So many parents get screwed with the refunds. Speaking of refunds I am still waiting for mine (2 months & counting). Coaches are poorly informed of how to coach, practice facilities are random, & games are re-scheduled at literally last minute. I hope they get organized soon, it's frustrating & waste of time to go through the trouble of doing all the paper work then not have your child placed on a team. #BOYCOTTYMCAIRVING #WHERESMYREFUND

I hope that it was only my experience. I registered my child for sports(soccer) I was informed that I would get a call from my child's coach to get more information. I had to consistently call the center to get updates. At one point I requested a call back, no one called back. The information I was looking for is schedule, team name, coach name, expectations and uniform requirements. Again this is my experience, I hope the center can use this review as an opportunity to provide better customer experience.

I moved here from out of state. I was interested in having my son who is 8 years old be apart of the youth basketball league. The cost was $60 not a lot of money but enough for me to want my son to have fun learning more about the game and not just having fun. Well, my sons coach was not a very good coach at all. The fact that she didn't know much about basketball wasn't the issue. The issue was she wasn't open to any help or advice. I was actually able to coach the first game with her and we won 24-12. The next three games she didn't want my help or any other parents help for that matter and the kids lost all 3 games with only scoring a total of 12 point for all three games. The kids learned nothing in practice. I called and spoke with the director of athletics and he did nothing. I wanted to let him know that our kids were not being prepared in practice to play against teams that were really prepared to play. The kids lost the next three games by 20 or more points and some kids lost interest and didn't want to return to the team. Long story short I will be taking my kid elsewhere for basketball. The program at Irving Y is being reorganized because it has been lacking. But they
