Our family, along with 2 other families who are all members at In-Shape, went to the Bond location on Saturday so the kids could swim. We live much closer to the Laguna location, but the Bond pool area is better. The pool deck attendant, Derek, did an amazing job throughout our time there. He was consistently moving around the area, picking up trash, cleaning trash and debris out of the pools, setting chairs back in their original spots, making sure everything was tidy and neat, and even went into the pool to retrieve trash he could not reach from the outside. He went above and beyond. Typically, we see the pool attendant seated by the shed at the Laguna location, and they don't usually walk around or tidy up. It was so nice to see Derek working so hard to keep the area nice for families! We will definitely make the drive over to the Bond location more often.

I've been at Cal Fit/In-Shape Bond (+ using other locations) since 2000 - Family of 5 membership still maintained. My 3 sons grew up playing in the childcare (excellent childcare workers) then got trained in the main gym. Loved the family friendliness, loads of amazing classes 7 days a week. Miss that a ton. The few classes that remain, I love the aqua classes, strength, Mobility/Stability& Balance classes (need more class times of this class - very full & in demand). REALLY miss the GIT (Group Interval Training), ALWAYS full, loads of fun, challenge, relationship, excellent trainers. All of us want that class back. 1.5 minutes on each station got through every muscle, core, cardio. Best shape I was in. PLEASE bring this back!!!! Been asking since it was taken away in 2020. Ladies do best job cleaning locker room. Used to be 2 at all times, now just 1 part time. Pools are clean. Showers break often for some reason - need quicker repairs. Class instructors are the BEST! Colleen, Irina, Julie, Steffany, Kristin. Workers I've dealt with are pleasant, helpful & responsive. I haven't been using the floor equipment/machines lately, so can't comment on that. Overall, good experience.

I have had this membership for maybe 15 years now .. back on the family fitness days.. and I have to be honest... it has a lot of different machines now but there's only like 1 or there are so many people there that is just uncomfortable.. the kids daycare has drastically decreased and there is nothing for them really to do anymore for the 7-13 yo now that they removed the video games. so I have to worry if he's even going to want to be there while I spend most my time waiting on a machine. the other thing is the cleanliness is a huge issue... the machines are and epidemic just waiting to happen. Its really a shame. isn't there a capacity code or something? smh

I’ve had a wonderful experience at In-Shape Fitness. From the staff to the trainers to the childcare team, everyone I’ve interacted with has been kind, professional, and helpful. The facility has always been clean, and the gym is spacious enough that I feel like everyone has room to get a good workout in without constantly waiting around. As a mom of three, the childcare has been one of the biggest reasons I feel comfortable coming here. I’ve never had any issues with my children in childcare. The childcare workers are trustworthy, kind, and communicate very well, which gives me peace of mind while I work out. My children have also participated in swim classes, and the swim teachers have been very professional and patient with the kids. It has been a lovely experience overall, and I truly feel safe here. The gym feels very family-friendly, and I would highly recommend it to families with children. Personally, the biggest benefit for me has been personal training with Matt. I started training because I needed help with back pain, strengthening my deep core, and improving my overall fitness. Since training with him, my back pain is gone, my deep core strength has improved tremendo

I enjoy everything here and I love you all! Two things to consider: 1) upgrade your showers 2) regular maintenance of water filters. One can’t use the drinking water, when needed sometime. The photos are from June 14, 2026. Since last couple of days, the water filter has this red signal. Therefore, I am reducing my stars from 5 to 3.
