I arrived before my tee time and had my DJI camera in my hand. An employee in the pro shop told me I can’t film on the course without permission. I then began to share what I do for a living and was not heard. He began to talk about wanna be YouTubers who want to start fights. I let him know I represent global brands and teach classes for professionals. He doubled down on what type of content they don’t want WHICH DIDNT APPLY TO MY BRAND!! I asked if he could look at my social channels before I paid for our tee time and he said it has to be done before we came in. I shared that I’m interpreting that he has the ability to make judgment calls on what can or cannot happen. He agreed that that was correct. I asked if he could review my channels again and he only said it has to be done before you arrive. I’m leaving this course with the perspective that he looked and two minority men and automatically judged that we would create fighting content as if that is all we are capable of creating. MY PERSPECTIVE IS THAT MY KIND OF PEOPLE ARE NOT WELCOMED HERE! STAY AWAY FROM HERE IF YOUR PROFESSIONAL YET DONT LOOK LIKE YOU SHOULD BE TO THEM!

August 2026 Review - course was in great shape. Greens were fast. Fairways and tee boxes were in great shape. Starter and pro shop were helpful. Fun track with forgiving fairways. Will play again.

DONT READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS THEY OBVIOUSLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT GOLF! First off course was in great shape proshop guy and starter were very nice. 7:40 tee time played 18 in 3 hours. Greens were rolling good. Tee blocks and fairways were in good shape. You can see they are doing updates. New clubhouse looks like it will be amazing. Practice area was very nice. Better public course than most. For reference I played the Stadium Course at Sawgrass the day before and was not disappointed playing at Hyde Park.

Hyde park is a true gem in the center of Jax. The course has a fun layout and “great bones”. Best deal in town for 18 holes. Grass driving range and new putting green help you get dialed in before your round. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Management ensures the course is well-maintained and their customers are satisfied. I always have a great time playing on the course that legends graced.

Way outdid my expectations for my first time playing here. Fairways were pure, greens were firm and rolled great. Very getable course from the back tee’s but still some challenging shots, irons are the smart play off many of the par 4’s. Food truck on #5 was clutch. Vibes were good, will definitely be back here again.
