★☆☆☆☆ I had high expectations for our family stay at Gaylord Pacific Resort in Chula Vista, but unfortunately our experience fell far short of what you’d expect from a luxury resort. Our room included a king bed and a sofa bed for our children. When we opened the sofa bed, we found dirty socks inside, so we immediately called housekeeping to request fresh sheets and bedding. We were assured someone would bring them, but no one ever showed up. We called multiple times throughout the evening and still received no assistance. As a result, our children had to sleep on the sofa bed without proper sheets, and my husband ended up taking a sheet from our bed just so they would have something to cover themselves overnight. For a resort of this caliber, it’s unacceptable to be unable to provide clean bedding for a bed that’s included as part of the room. What disappointed me even more was the lack of follow-through. The issue wasn’t just the dirty sofa bed—it was the repeated promises that someone was coming, only for no one to ever arrive. Good customer service is about resolving problems when they happen, and unfortunately that didn’t occur during our stay. The resort itself is beauti

I'm so glad a friend of mine encouraged us to stay here for our anniversary despite some of the not so great reviews. They have definitely improved their game since they opened. From the moment we were greeted by Dawn at reception to walking into our room at sunset and seeing the gorgeous view, to a yummy appetizer and spicy marg at Marzul, to the steak house and the many pools, we received fabulous service! What a fun vibe! The size of the screen in the sports bar was definitely Vegas huge and I found their speakeasy too. Just poked my head in thru the freezer, but seemed cool. We will definitely make this our new staycation location even if just for a day visit or for dinner. Can't wait to try the sushi restaurant next time! Go and enjoy!!
