Really great setup and staff, and the courses were in immaculate condition, especially considering it's August. There is a tee box for every age and/or skill level, six total, allowing everyone to feel comfortable competing. I look forward to coming back.

I stayed at Omni PGA Frisco and had two experiences of golf at fields ranch that could have been ideal. My first round was on the west course. The starter Tim was very informative on how holes would play based on the conditions. I was on the first tee in gale force winds which made the first five play extra challenging. In terms of experience: it could have been 5 star if the cart brake worked properly + GPS technology displayed where the geofenced areas were. My cart locked many times and the prompt on screen vs the cart locking was almost simultaneous... a pure detriment to pace of play. I have suggested that Fields Ranch considers GolfLogix where the GPS displays the geofenced areas and also displays greens and the way they are sloped/breaking. The layout of the course itself is a true gem by Beau Welling. In terms of experience on the host site of the PGA Championship in 2027: Fields Ranch East; It was less than ideal. Unless you are a member, a mandatory caddie is required. As a Omni guest, I would have thought there would be devoted times for resort guests past the first set of blocked times for members in the morning to enhance experience. First time playing on the East Course, I just have to say I had the time of my life at a very beautiful course. Every employee was very helpful and too kind. Definitely going to make another trip there again. Chip was a big help, Reid was my caddy and knew those greens very well.

The fields ranch east course is a design masterpiece. Fields ranch west plays more like a traditional resort golf course but is still an awesome design, with lots of character. My caddy Zane did a great job. It was a truly memorable experience.

Played the PGA Fields Ranch West course on a recent visit to Frisco with my son! It was an amazing experience: this is a links style course, we played in Dec, so it was a little more brown, but played quite challenging with the wind!! Excellent undulated greens and pot bunkers too! At the range you can select the type of balls to hit from Callaway, Titleist to Taylormade!! Best part was children under 15 had discounted tee times!! It’s still a steep green fee but definitely worth checking out!!
