I attended a birthday party in the Crystal Ballroom. The banquet manager Sergio and his staff were outstanding. The food was well seasoned, great presentation, served warm, with nice size portions. The service was prompt and the servers were so attentive to the needs and wants of a party of almost 300 people. Amazing the personal care and added touch that Sergio exemplified. We salute you Sergio!!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing. Several weeks before my wife’s arrival, I contacted the hotel regarding our wedding anniversary. I was not asking for luxury or expensive gifts—simply a small gesture to make her feel special while we were spending the day apart. The General Manager personally replied, informed me that my request had been forwarded to the relevant departments, and later assured me that the matter was on their radar and would “definitely” be addressed. Unfortunately, when my wife arrived, absolutely nothing had been arranged. No welcome note, no acknowledgment, no small gesture of any kind. Even more disappointing, my final follow-up email received no response at all. Hotels are under no obligation to provide complimentary amenities, flowers, cakes, or surprises. That was never the issue. The issue is making promises, creating expectations, and then failing to follow through or communicate. Had the hotel simply said that they could not accommodate the request, I would have completely understood. Instead, I was repeatedly assured that arrangements would be made. This hotel does not live up to the Hilton standard at all. The lobby is beautiful, and that is where it ends. I travel often, and this is one of the few hotels that doesn't have any complimentary coffee or water in the lobby. The rooms are old and dated, but worse they are not well cleaned. I walked in to a moldy smell, and there was also visible dust, cobwebs, and stains. The sheets had a stain that looked like someone was standing on them with shoes on. The restroom smelled of urine. The shower floor and shower head had mold. In addition to the room being dated and smelly, the front desk staff seems to be poorly trained. I was on a business trip and teaching a seminar at the hotel, which was set up by my company ahead of time. When I came to check in no one was able to find the billing paperwork, where my company had already paid for both the room and event space. My company event sent a copy of the paid invoice that said it had been approved and the staff refused to accept it. After a long travel I had to wait in the lobby for almost and hour before they miraculously located the card and patent info and allowed me to check in. Only to be met by a disgusting room.
