⭐️ 1 STAR Extremely disappointing experience at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Modesto. The employee I dealt with was arguing back and forth with me instead of actually listening to my concern. I specifically did not want to take home a display shoe because it had been tried on by multiple people in the store. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a new, unworn pair when purchasing shoes. To make matters worse, I was given the wrong display shoe, which means that if I had driven home without checking, I could have driven an hour out of my way only to discover that I had the wrong shoe. It also took an unreasonable amount of time for the employee to finally tell me that the correct shoe wasn’t even available in the back. This entire situation was extremely inconvenient and could have been handled much more professionally. Instead of arguing with a customer, the employee should have simply listened, checked the inventory, and communicated clearly from the beginning. I have never had an experience like this at a sporting goods store, and I will not be returning to this Dick’s Sporting Goods location again. Went on 07/11/2026 around 5-5:30pm. Went to try on some shoes with the intention to buy. Went to the kiosk put in my order didnt stray far. An employee asked if I was ok I said just waiting for a kiosk order. Order Never came . Saw employees bringing out for other people who had just arrived walking around so I Finally went up to a free worker and he said he saw my order and so he went in. Brought out the wrong one. No worries it happens but then never brought the right ones out. Another employee asked if I’ve been helped and I was honest and told them I’m waiting for my order. By now it’s been almost 25 minutes just for one pair of shoes. Waited another five minutes and walked out of the area. Didn’t feel the need to make a scene, I was dissatisfied with the execution (or lack thereof) and went on my way. Plus many of the products in the store lack proper pricing. Due to this experience I will no longer be a customer. Some might think this is extreme but honestly everyone has a limit and mine just happened to be time wasted( I can be patient when it makes sense but this was just plain waste of my time as there was no explanation given as to why it was taking so long)

I went to exchange a pair of Hoka shoes. I received great service by friendly and knowledgeable people. Overall a great experience.

I purchased my daughter's baseball equipment here and was very happy with the quality. The prices were a bit on the higher side, but the equipment was durable and held up well throughout the season. In fact, most of it was still in great condition and reusable the following year, which made it a worthwhile investment. Overall, the quality and longevity of the products made the higher cost worth it.

We went to exchange my son's cleats. We ordered online and they were a bit too small. Employees were so professional and helpful. The store is really neat, clean and organized. They helped us try on a lot of different sizes and brands. Great customer service!!
