DIP is a fantastic pickleball facility. I remember it being the very first indoor pickleball facility in Dallas, opening just a few months after I started playing. Its Addison location is convenient and easy to access. Over the years, I've participated in several tournaments and special events there, which is how I first met Tanner Rice. My PCD women's team often trained with Tanner during league season, and he was always well-liked by everyone. Since he knew I enjoyed playing singles, he would occasionally text me about upcoming singles events, which I always appreciated. Tanner has a great personality—friendly, approachable, and consistently professional. Today, I took my first private lesson with Tanner after watching him work with my husband. I was immediately impressed by how prepared he was. Before the lesson, he texted us a detailed agenda outlining what he planned to cover. That level of preparation showed he had thoughtfully assessed what we needed to work on. He also gave me options on areas I wanted to focus on, demonstrating both flexibility and a willingness to tailor the lesson to my goals and skill level. My wife and I took successive one-on-one lessons with Tanner and we could not have asked for more. He is friendly yet insistent in a good coaching way. He nudges you forward. To back up a bit, he sent us before the lesson a planned agenda for our session, so he’s not a coach who wastes your money/time figuring out what to do after the session begins. At the same time, he did ask us if there was anything else we wanted to work on, so his planning is flexible; he’s willing to listen to what the customer wants (in our case, some work on singles play). I’m an intermediate player; my wife is advances, andI could see the overlap and divergence in the lessons. No lazy “one lesson fits all” with Tanner. Tanner is also very observant, He doesn’t look around bored while you drill; he’s attentive. He pointed out idiosyncrasies in my game (grip, foot work) and addressed those, asking if I wanted to change while pointing out the pluses and minuses of my particular style of play. In that he is also great, he gives you choices and helps you to craft the game and skills YOU want. I came away feeling pushed to do more while also positive about my game. I visited DFW Indoor pickleball in Farmers Branch 10 months ago and it quickly became one of my favorite spots to play in the Dallas area. The facility is fantastic—bright, 9 well-lit indoor courts that make playing comfortable no matter how hot or humid it is outside. The professional textured concrete surfaces play great, and the excellent lighting means you can see every shot clearly without any glare or shadows. What really stood out, though, was the friendly staff. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming and helpful. They made sure I had everything I needed. It’s clear they care about creating a positive, community-focused environment, which makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn or an experienced player wanting competitive open play, leagues, or clinics, this place has it all. Great indoor pickleball facility! Reasonable membership pricing. 9 courts and easy booking. Booked a private party event, and they were very accommodating! They allowed us to bring our own snacks and drinks. Garrett was very helpful, and gave good coaching advice to the newbies in our group. Would recommend booking a private party event!
