I’m a longtime Marriot Bonvoy member and have been staying in Marriott’s for years. I have rarely had an issue and when I have it was resolved quickly. This one, however, was the opposite. My group stayed for a tournament for 3 days and asked them to our clean our room as would be standard in hotels. They never did the first day. I called and made sure to ask because they didn’t the first day. Didn’t clean again. I called again. Still no cleaning. We had no towels, no soap, unmade beds, and, more importantly no apologies and only lies saying we weren’t on the “cleaning list”? 4 times calling and asking them politely with no cleaning. We came back late from our competition hoping to be able to sleep in a clean room and weren’t able to. When checking out, I explained the situation. They said they weren’t sure. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was “busy” for a few more hours even though the staff at the front desk was talking to them during our conversation. They told me the manager would call us and remedy the situation. They never did and have still not reached out to make this right. We were polite the whole time. I don’t like writing bad reviews as this is my first.

I work in aviation industry and this was a business trip, where I convinced my whole crew to stay here because of the location, which is very nice. We had to suddenly shorten our stay and leave early. This hotel refused to understand the situation and billed us for an extra night even though we left before official checkout time. Staff was pointing fingers at each other while the GM was hiding in the back room and refusing to even come out to speak with us. First time in 6 years with Marriott we were treated like this. Assistant GM straight up told me that our Ambassador status means nothing at this property. If your plans have any chance of changing, stay away from this place. Never again. The second star is for nice location only.

When CA decides to flood, and SBA closes and your flight was cancelled….. this Marriott brought some respite during some challenging travels. Wonderful modern hotel. Staff was on point and the room excellent!
