There are some good things about this location, and definitely some bad. The positive: updated, spa-like locker rooms; outdoor pool is better than most YMCAs in the area, there are a few really sweet teenage girls who work in the Child Watch area, and we had pretty good experiences with the half day dance and gymnastics summer camps. The negative: swim lessons are very overcrowded with not enough room in the lane for all of the children, this location seems to make up its own policies rather than following the rest of the YMCA of Central Texas locations and the majority of group fitness classes, specifically Body Pump and the fitness director Terian Szymczak is rude and disrespectful. Instructors like Katy treating adults like children, publicly shaming and humiliating anyone who dares to enter a class ten seconds after it's begun. When I addressed this issue in an email to Terian, she was dismissive, defensive, and refused to answer any other emails from me when I was asking genuine questions about their policies. We had a great time swimming at this YMCA today! I'm so glad they don't require water wings or life jackets for my toddler who can't yet swim, and I could just hold him in the pool and get him more and more used to the water how it will feel when he more seriously learns to swim! I'm glad there was an available locker we could use in the locker room, and the place was very clean overall despite how many people there were. The lifeguard ratio is also very good. We felt very safe. Unfortunately the fun looking indoor play street type place is only open to 3 yrs old+ and fully potty trained.

Disappointed by Pool Deck Conditions and Lack of Response I am a regular swimmer at the CHASCO Family YMCA and frequently use the pool at 5 a.m. Unfortunately, the condition of the pool deck has become increasingly concerning, and my previous email regarding this issue received no response or acknowledgment. As the photos show, there is extensive dark buildup and discoloration throughout the deck, including areas immediately surrounding the pool. There is also a strong, unpleasant odor in the pool deck area that smells like sewage/sewer, particularly around the drainage/channel area. Several members were commenting on the smell again this morning, so this is not something only I have noticed. The lifeguards appear to do what they can with routine sweeping and general upkeep, but this has clearly gone beyond what routine cleaning can address. The deck needs a thorough deep cleaning or power washing, and the source of the odor needs to be investigated. This morning, another regular swimmer was actually speaking with the front desk about purchasing a pressure washer himself for the lifeguards to use. worst camp ever the YMCA swimming team is amazing but yhe camp is just trash i signed up for gymnastics camp and all the coaches were treating me like a level 1 gymnastics I am a level 3 gymnastics coaches Amaya and coach Ashley were the meanest coaches ever! Coaches Amaya always had attitude and always treating us like we are garbage coach Ashley lets girls with no experience do level 2 gymnastics skills and when I want to do it she says no you do pullovers when it's too easy the service and staffs were terrible and when I went to go swim they told me I could not go swimming and made me sit for 1 hour straight and when my friend fell coach Amaya pulled me and said I can't talk coach Ashley does inappropriate things in the gym like shaking her butt in front of us 1 star would give it 0.

My kids love coming here! It’s always a fun time… pool outside is really nice! Great gym and also has child care which is a plus
