We visited this hotel during Labor Day weekend. The location was good, inside mountain with long trail. Other than location it was not a great experience. First, the lobby checkin and checkout was not kids friendly, I have a 3 year old kid who is tired of the trip and want to checkin a little bit earlier, cannot. And no extended checkout. Not even 10 mins. And then we ended up spent 30 mins at lobby for check out due to there were only 2 ladies helping other. The full lobby shall have 3 ppl helping but only two showed up. I would expect long weekend there will be more ppl helping but it was still 2/3 helping out. So on the one help, you need to check out extractly 11 but then you need to wait long line in the lobby. Make 0 sense. Second, be aware of this hotel is pet friendly hotel, if you are allergy to animal fur then I would recommend another place to stay since when my husband got off the sofa his jacket was all of animal hair. ( this is first time we met this uncleaningness in a 4 star hotel) Third, hotel buffet was really ok, the view was ok. This is an average hotel that could be good. 2.5 stars but rounded to 3 because of the peaceful location. ROOMS - Definitely need a proper update, especially the bathrooms. Patio was sad. Photos look better than in person. Pillows were the cheapest the hotel could buy. RESTAURANT - We waited 1 hr to get 2 salads and a burger. They add 4% service, after tax and before tip. PARKING - Charging guests $20/day to park is beyond crazy. The hotel is located up in the hills, there is plenty of land and parking spaces. How are guests supposed to get there - hike up from town? Should be included in the already inflated room rates. POOL AREA - It was fine, nothing spectacular, could use a refresh.

What an exceptional resort this is. Im so impressed with the front desk service. Jesse was very personable and patient with the long line we were in at check-in time. He made it a smooth process!! The resort is flawless and breathtaking. The next day we joined a pilates class in the fitness center. We ended up chating with Stephanie Berard who is been with this company for many decades and loves working here teaching. We highly recommend!!!

My wife and I booked Chaminade Resort and Spa for our first wedding anniversary, and for the price per night this property charges, the experience fell well short. The one bright spot was our server Maddy at The View restaurant, who was warm, present, and made us feel like our anniversary actually mattered. She deserves recognition. The food at The View, unfortunately, did not match her service and felt underwhelming for a resort-level price point. We mentioned our anniversary at check-in and it was never acknowledged. We had also sent a note ahead of our arrival to introduce ourselves and make a couple of small requests, and never heard back. The front desk felt cold and transactional throughout our stay. Our first room had a noise problem from an external door, so we asked to switch. The second room was quieter but had insects (see photo), an AC unit that could not cool the room adequately, and furnishings that felt dated for what you are paying. After the room change we stopped raising issues because the team did not feel receptive to feedback, which is the part that stung the most. The grounds and setting are genuinely beautiful. But warmth, cleanliness, and attention to de
