Great staff and instructors at the Benbrook YMCA. To top it off, supportive group members making the classes fun and enjoyable. Instructors for silver sneakers classes are superb.

I booked private swimming lessons for my son on May 16th, 6 weeks before his lessons began. On Friday, June 26th I received an email late in the afternoon from Samantha Ridge stating there was a registration error and that my son can’t do his lessons at the scheduled time. His lessons were supposed to begin that Monday. Sam had 6 weeks to share that information with us but waiting the day before his lessons began. We go on vacation the following week and now my son won’t know how to swim. She has put our family in a terrible place and when I responded back to the email, I received an automatic reply that she was on vacation for the next two weeks. Sounds more like she wanted to go on vacation than keep appointments. I called the facility to get a refund but was told she is the only one who can process that but of course she’s on vacation for two weeks. Terrible customer service. People like this should not be in the customer service industry. Do better Sam!

The Benbrook YMCA is a wonderful place for family of all ages. They have tremendous programming, great staff and good instructors plus they have fun events like today’s joy celebration outside with tents and lots of entertainment and treats for children.

My daughter has been taking private swim lessons through the YMCA, and I want to start by saying that we absolutely love the instructors and the quality of the lessons. The instructors have been patient, knowledgeable, and wonderful with my child, which is why this experience has been so disappointing. The issue has been the lack of communication and scheduling coordination. Our private lessons were originally scheduled for one week but were moved to Wednesday due to circumstances on the YMCA’s end. We were understanding and adjusted our schedule accordingly. After completing two lessons, the pool was closed on Friday, leaving us with two remaining lessons. To ensure there would be no confusion, we specifically confirmed that we should attend the following Monday and Tuesday for the remaining lessons. However, when we arrived on Monday, we were told there was no lesson scheduled and were instructed to contact Samantha Ridge. Being turned away after rearranging our schedules and showing up with a child ready for her lesson was both embarrassing and frustrating. After reaching out, Samantha acknowledged that there had been a communication breakdown on the YMCA’s side and offered e

Our team played the 2026 Wounded Warrior Tournament. The restrooms were clean and stocked. Plenty of parking, including ADA spaces, and ADA compliant (I'm fairly certain, anyway) restrooms and pathways. The concession stand was VERY fast, friendly, and the food was tasty! The giant $2 cups of ice water were a great addition to our 98° day in the Texas sunshine! Lots of shade and soft grass for the feral sports siblings. Thanks for hosting the tourney! We hope to play there again.
