About Bair Island Aquatic Center - Rowing and Paddling Club
For 20 years Bair Island Aquatic Center has been providing access to the harbor and wetlands of Redwood City via paddling and rowing boats. We welcome beginners and elites, youth to seniors. We offer programs for adaptive athletes.
Join us on the water, minutes from 101, in the heart of Silicon Valley. The calm beauty of nature makes it feel like you are miles away.
Take a class to learn a new sport or grab a friend and rent a SUP or kayak for a few hours. Most days you’ll be up close to a seal and sea birds as you exercise on the water.

Great opportunity to get out on the Bay to enjoy the beauty of nature! I loved learning to stand up paddle last weekend. I will be a regular this summer honing my SUP skills and getting a great workout!!

Great experience with my friends. You can either rent Kayaks or SUPs (stand up paddle boards). If you are a bit rusty or do not really know what you are doing, they will refresh your basics. They will help you launch and land. They even had a dry pouch so I could keep my phone with me. The staff is nice and understanding. You have plenty of parking space. If you want to discover other water sports, BAIC has the summer learn to row and learn to scull program. Take some friends and go on the water!

Summer programs are underway at Bair Island Aquatic Center (BIAC): Learn to Row, Scull, Kayak, or SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) on the calm waters of Redwood Slough. Close to 101/Woodside exit, free parking, reasonable prices, helpful staff. We've wanted this for a long time, and now it's a reality!
