I have attended a handful of events at this facility. The actual space is great! Perfect for tournaments of all sorts. My only complaint is the parking lot. When I am on a test drive with a customer and they ask "Where is a rough road we can drive on to test the suspension and road noise of this vehicle?" I ALWAYS suggest the Apex parking lot lol

I’ve been to this sports complex for several volleyball and basketball leagues over the years and I’m constantly disappointed. Every time it rains—like it did this weekend—the entire parking lot turns into a muddy mess. It’s always just caliche, with deep puddles and potholes—this isn’t a new issue; it’s been like this for years. For a well-known facility that draws teams from all over, it’s shocking they haven’t invested in proper asphalt. And the gym itself is unbearable. It’s always sweltering hot—no air circulation, just sticky and uncomfortable. Plus, the netting between the courts are completely torn, so balls constantly roll off courts, disrupting the games. It’s past time for some serious renovations. With the amount of business they get, they really need to step up and make these improvements.

Like all of the other places like this, you pay at the door for the subpar. Volleyball tournament and they have all the basketball nets up. I saw a player going in with a box of donuts for her team, and was stopped by the guard asking “you didn’t read the sign we had out there?” Good job, maam, you stopped that little kid from bringing in the donuts for her team, while letting countless people bring food in through their bags anyway. The road leading in and the parking lot itself is shattered earth, RIP to your tires. Nevermind the bathrooms haven’t been touched with any actual effort since Covid, there’s not a water fountain in sight. I can’t fathom how that’s a thing at a sports arena, but here we are.

This place is falling apart. Bathroom facilities are never cleaned, not refilled, and hand dryers don't work. Air conditioner only partially functional. Nets between basketball courts are torn allowing loose balls to go into other courts. Concessions have a poor selection and overpriced. They take in a ton of cash, but apparent reinvest nothing into the facility. People will start going elsewhere.

This place has gone DOWNHILL! Men’s room was filthy all day. Wadded up, wet toilet paper all over the place stayed on walls and floors. We were first game of the day and last game of the day it was there from start to finish. Playing Floors needed to be swept. Spend lots of money playing in volleyball tournaments to play on terrible courts. About 6 people working the concession but I don’t think anyone cleaned anything all day.
