Went golfing with my friend Chris and we had a great time. Chris got 4 shots ahead of me on the front but I destroyed him on the back 9 and won by 7 strokes. Conditions were great, staff super friendly will be coming back soon.

The play here is so slow. Waiting on every hole. 5 1/2 hour round is ridiculous. Course is was in excellent condition. They just book tee times to close together. Have never played so slow anywhere.

If it's really hot out this is the coolest course in Sacramento. Tons of trees beautiful course. And the American River next to the course, that helps keep the area nice and cool

It is a large area that is part natural, part park and partially a golf course. It's a beautiful setting for golf, but I have never played there. Actually I just go there to walk along the river or walk my dog. It's beautiful! Although being on a golf course you may occasionally encounter loud lawn mowers, which kind of destroyed the end of my peaceful walk today. You can also visit the Effie Yeaw nature center and walk around the beautiful natural area there. You may get lucky and see some deer or a group of turkeys basking in the sun. But dogs aren't allowed in that portion of the park. If you get hungry, you may want to visit the "Main Event Bar and Grill." I haven't gone there yet, but I plan on giving it a try. Eating with a view of a beautiful golf course should be quite nice! Apparently their hours vary and you should give them a call.

This golf course is a hidden gem in Sacramento California! It sits among a lush landscape of hiking trails and lush vegetation. The course is old school with lots of trees and narrow fairways and small but fast greens. If you hit a good shot off the tee it might get knocked down by a tree if your shot is off by just inches but it could be thrown back in the middle of the fairway by said tree! If you play this course be prepared to put on your thinking cap because you will need to use your course management skills to score well. This course is a shot makers course and not a bomb it one. Also, expect to find plenty of wild like walking around like deer and coyotes. It is a beautiful golf course and very popular among golfers so be sure to make your tee time in advance.
