Great location and easily accessible as it is right off 405 freeway. Clean location and friendly staff. Facilities clean and large rooms for meetings and for activities. Several activities for seniors. Some free and some with a fee. Indoor basketball court available for members.

We just had an amazing Bar Mitzvah party for 200 people on the pool deck. The event team was great to work with during the whole process from prep through their great customer service all through the event. Since we had a sports theme we also worked it out with the JCC to use the open gym for dodgeball, basketball, and flag football. The kids loved swimming in the year round heated pool too. I can't recommend them enough for celebrating your milestone events with friends and family. Thank you Jewish Long Beach!

The Alpert JCC is an amazing organization. The Early Childhood Education Program is the best preschool in Long Beach. To this day, my teenage daughters remember their preschool experience as the best part of their education to date. The pool is fantastic and recently underwent a major renovation. I am looking forward to a great summer at the pool!

The J is our home away from home, plain and simple. We are so grateful our children have attended ECE here and thrived all these years. The teachers and staff go above and beyond… truly feel like family ♥️ The rest of the J staff is amazing as well. Great community, great gym, classes, amazing new pool… what’s not to love.

The ECE has truly been a home away from home for our family over the past four years. Both of our daughters started in the 2s class—our eldest has since graduated and still loves coming back for camp, while our youngest is currently thriving and loving every moment in preschool. From the moment we walk in each day, we feel incredibly welcomed. Everyone greets our girls by name, creating such a warm and caring environment. Through their time here, they’ve learned how to play, build strong friendships, and develop the foundational skills they’ll need for kindergarten. As a Jewish family, we deeply appreciate the way Jewish culture is woven into the program, especially around holidays and celebrations—it’s meaningful but never overbearing, and the environment is truly inclusive and welcoming to all. We’re so thankful for the amazing experience we’ve had at the ECE and couldn’t be happier with the love and care our children have received.
