I stayed at Aloft for 2 nights after being delayed at LAX and wanted to try a different Marriott. The shuttle was fast and got me to and from the hotel without any issues. The check-in was ok, but the wait was fairly long, with only one person on the desk at check-in time. The location is good, with lots of food options within walking distance and a Ralphs right across the road. The foyer area is comfy and turns into a bar in the evenings. The rooms are a good size, with comfy enough beds, but are a little on the tired side. The TVs are dated and there are only cable channels available, with no streaming or "connect your device" options. The pool was clean and well maintained and the gym was basic, but enough for a quick workout. The breakfast is disappointing, with very basic "continental" options or a a la cart small menu. I went for the burrito, which was very bland. Overall, a decent stay that could be improved with a couple of tweaks.

I stayed at Aloft by Marriot El Segundo for business and let me first start by saying the staff was absolutely lovely. Everyone was very kind and accommodating. Staff aside, I would give my overall experience at this hotel a 2/5. I booked two Aloft King rooms. Online, it shows a nice private patio with trees and greenery. that is not the case, these rooms are on the first floor (which is not noted online) and back up to the alley where the trash goes. Upon arrival my room was disgustingly dirty - the room looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months and there was a large chunk of hair in the shower (see photo). The shower also had a large crack in the floor and there were spots of what looked to be mold in the corners of the room. The staff did accommodate a room change, but it was not something I should've had to deal with at midnight after a long travel day. Also of note, the AC barely works in the hotel. It is certainly not turned on in the hallways and I had my room turned down to the lowest setting with the fan on full blast and it still felt muggy and warm. The hotel is in desperate need of not only a deep clean, but several renovations. The staff was the only redeeming q

I had such a great stay here and honestly enjoyed it more than I expected. The location in relation to the airport was incredibly convenient, and the shuttle running every 30 minutes made everything seamless and stress-free. One of the highlights was the bar staff (especially Dee). They were so friendly and welcoming that we ended up spending more time in the lobby than we originally planned. It really added to the overall experience and made the hotel feel lively and inviting. I also loved how walkable the area was. Being able to easily walk to nearby restaurants and convenience stores was such a bonus. The only minor downside was that the room didn’t have a lot of floor space to fully open my suitcase, but aside from that, everything was wonderful.
