Alex is a very skilled and personable teacher. He has been teaching my 11 year old son David for over 1 year now. Alex classes are both structured to teach and practice all the topics he wants to cover but also very flexible to adapt real time to the student. He captures the strengths and weaknesses of his students and tailors the classes to take them to the next level. Alex has a calm and positive attitude and really cares. This is why he as a unique ability to connect with his student. I very highly recommend him!

Alex has deep knowledge and Olympic level skill when it comes to ping pong, but what I find most impressive about him as a coach is his knowing exactly how to adapt his training for each individual student in a way that makes the process rewarding. Alex trained me and several young adolescents when I was working as a Boys and Girls Club staff to implement a ping pong program at the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club. Alex catered his coaching to the group’s and each individual player’s level of skill creating a plan for accelerated growth. Alex taught me that a good trainer is like a time machine - anyone can improve over time, but a trainer can speed up this progress and bring a player to their future growth much sooner. Alex did this for me and all of the Boys and Girls Club members he coached. The passion for the sport his training instilled in us made ping pong become as popular as the other mainstream sports at the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club. Numerous tournaments were held between Santa Monica BGC branches and Alex showed young players how to run these tournaments giving them confidence and leadership skills. So if you were looking to step your Table Tennis a.k.a. Ping Pong skills up then this is the person to make this happen, ever since I have meet Alex he has always been training and improving my skills in Table Tennis and in life great person to know I would definitely recommend him for future lessons and training. He introduced me to my first paddle a.k.a. "the legend killer " my rubbers are both Tenergy 05 2.0 with an A. mazunov blade !! Wow I have definitely step my game up with the training of Alex Figueroa . I would suggest you do the same and if you're ready make the right choice with Mr. Figueroa !

Alex was my first coach in table tennis. His experience and expertise helped me so much understanding the game and what it takes to play the sport in a competitive way. He's very resourceful, responsible and professional. He will train you in the physical aspect of the game and the technical as well. Highly recommended! Go and train with Alex!! 🏓

My daughters got the opportunity to train with Alex. His expertise in table tennis and physical condition make him a great coach. Normally you find one or the other but in this case you get both. If you are looking for a honest coach, don't look further. Highly recommended. Thanks Alex for everything!
