Went in to buy weight and equipment. Everything was a complete mess, nothing labeled or put away properly. No prices on 60% of the plates. I purchased a set and had to literally match item numbers to make sure everything was there. The sales person helped me by getting me a cart atleast to wheel it out on. I would have just walked out but there isn't much else around to get what I needed. Then when checking out I had to show the cashier the item I purchased because they couldn't ring it up right. The whole experience just made me mad and I will probably just buy stuff online from now on. Its not worth the hour drive to end up with a headache and me having to do the staffs job. Atleast at Walmart they have their stuff on the shelves where you can find it. I don't think I will be going back to this store.

My husband and I went shopping for shoes yesterday, and he found a pair of Nike shoes that he really liked. On the display, the shoes were marked at $94.99 with a Hot Deal of $35 off, making the sale price $59.99. All the shoe sizes were directly below the sign, and my husband picked up his size from that section. When we went to check out, the cashier scanned the shoes, and I mentioned that they were displayed for $59.99. She scanned the shelf tag I showed her the picture of and explained that the sale price was actually for a different style of shoes. She then told us the total was $102 I understand that mistakes can happen, but I believe the advertised price should have been honored since the shoes were displayed directly under the sale sign. This was not our mistake, and there was nothing indicating that the sign applied to a different style. As customers, we relied on the price that was displayed when making our decision to purchase the shoes. I would appreciate your consideration of this situation and hope you can review whether the advertised price can be honored.

I ordered two items for store pickup. One item was picked up with the other showing to be there today July 30. One gentleman said it must be on the truck still but never found it. My wife went to the shelf and they had restocked the item and asked if we could just get the one available at the store since they couldn’t find it. They said that it might come in at a later time. They refused to give me the product which I already paid for and drove 50 miles to get. This was a display of lack luster customer support. I now have to drive 50 miles back to Academy, whenever they decide to give me my item.

For a store claiming to have a wide selection of sporting goods but there are empty displays, sparse shelves and disarray with merchandise. They did not have the shoes I came for that were advertised on the website as "in store". I only found 2 Magellan shirts in a 4XL for my husband out of a few hundred. Seems like a serious waste of time.

First time to come into the store… I was absolutely appalled at the condition in the women’s clothing section. Came to do an exchange of A shirt that was purchased for me the day before by my husband. When I informed him that I would be taking it back and getting a different size. He said beware of the condition of the store. I didn’t even bother to scout out the rest of the store, but I want to share a few photos with you. If I owned this store I would fire the manager yesterday. Will not return….
