I regularly visit this specific location for fishing tackle and never thought to write a review until today. Today I purchased my first firearm and I had such a wonderful experience! The employee (his name was “Fortune” how cool lol) who was behind the counter was extremely helpful and polite. Gave me tips and advice about firearms safety, with exceptional explanations for any questions I had. After a few minutes of talking and figuring out what I was looking for he was eager to help me get a feel for a few options and make a decision. Very satisfied with the service he provided. Will be returning.

As a single father, I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but this experience absolutely deserves recognition. I stopped by Academy Sports + Outdoors to pick up a few items for an upcoming camping trip, and while shopping I found myself needing to change my daughter’s diaper. Any parent knows that using a public restroom with a young child can be a stressful experience, especially when you’re unsure of the cleanliness. What I encountered was honestly one of the cleanest public restrooms I’ve ever seen. From the moment I walked in, everything looked immaculate. The floors were spotless and literally shining. Every surface appeared freshly cleaned and sanitized. The sinks, counters, mirrors, stalls, and changing area were all exceptionally well maintained. The restroom smelled fresh and clean without being overwhelming, which immediately gave me confidence that it was being cared for regularly. What impressed me most was the attention to detail. There wasn’t a single piece of trash on the floor, no overflowing bins, no soap residue, and no signs of neglect anywhere. The floors sparkled so much they almost looked polished. If I could leave no stars I would. I have worked in customer service almost my whole life and when I ordered a pick up item from the store (a crossbow for a christmas gift) he had my sign for it and placed it into my back seat. I only had a short time for lunch so headed back and when I removed it to take it in and wrap it the box was ripped everywhere and taped… when I called to ask about exchanging it because of this I was told it could not be returned. I asked if it could simply be swapped out and was told nope you want a nice box… call the manufacture… the manager was disrespectful and she definitely needs to check her tone when speaking with customers! We not only shop here often but even have a credit card here… that will be changing….
