Dropped in on the way to the water park and a very nice lady kind chased me down. I thought I had done something wrong, but she stopped and said sorry to bother you, but we wanted to give you a $50 gift card for early customers. I was a little shocked but it was well recived. Well done Academy. Ive always like shopping at your stores. But you've early a loyal customer by the small gesture of appreciate 👏

Bought my first gun with the help of the one and only Andy in the firearms department! He made this whole experience so enjoyable for me and answered all the questions i had! Thank you Andy! Andy, if you get the chance to read this… I took it to the gun range yesterday and hit multiple headshots you would be proud hahah!

this store is incompetent enough to let their extremely and obviously sick employees work at the only cashier position open that day and later be like oops our bad we should have known better. The store is also too incompetent to prepare an online order for you with the correct item and to check that the order is correct before handing it to you;. to have items in their store priced correctly; or to have sanitizing wipes available despite having signs stating that they do. I ordered ab item of online. I was given the wrong one at the store. The items in the store that I picked up to replace that were incorrectly, priced leading to a bit of a delay at the cash register. The cash register was obviously and clearly sick and coughing and sneezing repeatedly. The store had no hand sanitizer and it’s bins for disinfectant wipes or empty. After I wrote a review online, they called me to tell me that the sick employee had just been sent home. I don’t understand how a store is open for four hours and then they apologize for an employee being sick when they were clearly aware that was a case.

Store is clean, stocked, organized. One cashier, a manager and 4 people doing miscellaneous task throughout the store. We were here for an hour and no one greeted us, smiled or asked if we needed assistance. When we stood in line behind 4 other guest two employees who were stocking registers near by stood by and chit chatted and what I assume was a lead or a manager walked by. Customer service seems to be a low priority but if you aren’t in a rush and you know what you’re looking for this is fine.

When I walked in the store I was received with a nice greeting. When I walked into the shoe 👟 department I had a specific tennis shoes 👟 I wanted. Ofelia was very nice and friendly, right away she told me were they were. I needed a sleeping bag, Kevin was a great help. He helped me look through the different choices. All staff was very friendly I will definitely be coming back. 👍 thumbs up
